Well there are many factors people take into place. The main one being that he has don nothing significant for Portugal so far. I thought he performed rathr well at Euro 2004 and WC 2006.

The General consensu is that he has to play a pivitol role and win the world cup for Portugal, or at least be more consistant.

I was banned on the other forum for bringing up events and things associated with the Islam religion, but people here can bring up Mussolini and the fascist movement of Italy and everyone can suddenly move on. I'm offended just like other users on the other forum were and I want compensation like they were given.

To show up, you mean. Yes, I agree, he wasn't too bright at the WC but I think the reason behind that was more tied to Quieroz's tactics.

Club level though, I think Ronaldo surpasses what Figo's done as I don't think Figo has done enough at NT level either.

You never know. Next World Cup is in 3 years. Plenty of time for Portugal to get a decent Striker and Goalkeeper.

While that may be true, a third place finish in the debut of the country is really a great result, not to mention the style in which that team reached 3rd place, as well as the controversy surrounding their exit.

Also, as I said before, CR still have not finished his career and hence cannot be included in this discussion.

It's my opinion that Ronaldo is clearly better than Figo, even if Figo is an all time great!

Ronaldo is part of the "cream of the cream".

Eusebio was too long ago for me to compare, even if I actually did see him play a few games as a small child. I simply don't remember the details other than that he was prolific goal scorer, in the era!

Nope, choke means always going far, but never winning it. Take Germany for example, always in the Semi's or Finals, but lose as of late. Cheslea is another prime example. Choke.
