Re: Arsenal players at Olympic games 2012
You'll notice that the attendance between the New Zealand and Cameroon games went up. Standard of opposition aside, the support has gone up a lot since Team GB started winning.
Brazil are one of the most successful women's side ever, so I'm sure that played a big part in attracting a big crowd to Wembley. Brazil's game against Cameroon managed to attract 30,000 on its own.
So increasing success of Team GB plus Brazil equals massive attendance.

Ramsey started again for Team GB. Again, he played really well. He used the ball well and troubled Uruguay with his movement, and was also typically hard working and covered a lot of ground.
He definitely gives this Great Britain side an edge and makes them a better side as a whole.

Think he will come back as a better player this season? Based on these performances?

Definitely. He's maintained his great work rate and he's been creating things and making things happen just be moving with intelligence and playing the right passes. He's hardly tried any back-heels or fancy flicks.

GB vs S.Korea
I want Park to score a brace and help his transfer fee slightly. I also want GB to win, for the sake of the impressive performances from Ramsey.

Park Chu-Young with a great header just skimming over the cross bar. I have no idea how he jumped that high.

Re: Arsenal players at Olympic games 2012
Park Chu-Young made the same amount of league appearances for Arsenal last season as Nasri & Traore (1) & less than Lansbury (2). Wow.

Ramsey steps up for the 2ND penalty...
Misses this time. Sort of in the middle, the GK stops it.

South Korea are playing really well and has dominated this match so far. Team GB lacks control in midfield. Ramsey is playing so-so but so is everyone in GB.

Despite possessing enough technique and skills to cope at a wide position, one of Park’s biggest strength is his aerial ability even if he is not the tallest of players at 182 centimetres. During his time at FC Seoul, the club released their players’ Sergeant Jump Test results and Park recorded an incredible 91 centimetres with the other 23 players recording an average of 62.6 centimetres. With that number reportedly increasing by more than 10 centimetres since his move to Ligue 1

Re: Arsenal players at Olympic games 2012
Out via a penalty shoot-out. Again.
It was a poor game overall for Great Britain. Ramsey did okay; did nothing bad or good, really. He scored one penalty, missed another, and scored the first penalty in the shoot-out. The first two weren't great penalties, but he showed a lot of courage to step-up and take them.
Don't be surprised to see Ramsey blamed, since he missed that second penalty that would have put GB 2-1 up. GB weren't great overall, though.

Re: Arsenal players at Olympic games 2012
Team GB are shi& at penalties too, who knew?
Ramsey was ok in the beginning, scored a pen, missed a pen (both poor tbh). In general he had some decent moments, passes, runs, but he STILL does the usual cra* - Over-playing, dithering in possession, wasting shots/passing opportunities etc.
Only pre-season yes, but he must improve if Wenger is to persist with him imo.
As for Park, he was hard-working, yet invisible. Barely touched the ball. One of the worst strikers in our history.

I think you're being a bit harsh, Sam. I don't think he overplayed at all and did the best he could with the limited options available to him. In fact, it was his flair that actually created a decent chance for Sturridge.
Overall, he's had a really good tournament and looks an improved player.

hold on sam i think you are being harsh on park, he was decent imo, and created a VERY good chance for one of the strikers with a fantastic through ball. one things for sure, park is better than chamakh.
