Fatigue Factor Empty Fatigue Factor

Post by Calebvision Thu Apr 26, 2012 1:42 am

Mourinho spoke of it, post game. Both Byern and Chelsea rested players, this past weekend. I didn't consider that, pre-game, however, in retrospect, in may have been tell tale, in both games.

Yes.. This was obviously a big factor.. Thank you La Liga match-makers, I'm sure they knew the UCL semi's would be on these dates

I dont think ita dair whatsoevee to Bayern amd Chelsea to make these assumptioms. Bayerms players today looked just as tired as Reals. Amd still a few pf Bagerns most imppetant players auch as Schweinsteiger and Ribery players against Werder this weekend too. Kroos for exampleat the end of the 120 minutes look like he was gonna pass out. Bayern were seaerves winners over the two legs ans the same gowes fr Chelsea. Excuses lile that should not be made.

The fatigue factor helps, but keep in mind that Barcelona and Madrid were playing at home which also is a big plus.

All that travelling tires you out no matter what.

All that travelling tires you out no matter what.

What's more tiring, playing a football match or flying 2 hours?

Full speed ahead, Captain Obvious.

My point was that even though Bayern had the physical advantage, it's not like the whole game was decided because of that. It's not just 2 hours of flight, either. Sleeping in hotels, training in facilities not known to you and not having your crowd cheer you on are some of the many factors. Fatigue is not an excuse at this level. As the great Zealous said, you can rest when you're dead, but now is the time to win trophies. :vagi:

IMO, the tie was decided through Bayern's mental strength, not their physique. They were clearly burnt out during extra time.

Yeah but I doubt you guys were more burnt out than us.. Anyways I blame our knucklehead defenders (Coentrao + Pepe) more than the fatigue..

Yeah to me it didn't seem that it was fatigue that helped Bayern win/dominate possession, it was lack of cohesion + organisation in the Madrid team.

How many times did you see Robben track back and help defend vs the amount of times Ronaldo did?
