Re: Forbes' Latest List of Most Valuable "Soccer" Teams
lol, so Real Madrid and Man U are twice as valuable as Milan
Liverpool is half the value of Arsenal
Shalke is nearly as valuable as Juve
Whoever made this stuff up
I'd like to know how they measured value...

Operating income = Revenue – Operating expenses
So I guess they spent a lot?

Because Juve is the only club that shrunk in net worth?
BTW there you see the importance of TV-money, in the Bundesliga-TV-Deal-Thread RWO Power posted a table of how club incomes are composed, and Bayern out-earn both Real and Barca with merch and ticket sales, as well as sponsorship and marketing, apparently, but just get sooo much less TV-money. O_o
(Though now that I'm writing this it doesn't sound like it couldn't be true, I must've misread that table.)

AC Milan is very valuable without the value of a stadium. A 50.000 seat stadium must be value at least €600-700 million while Juventus that own a stadium has a very low value. With a own stadium other Serie A teams would surpass Juventus. Also, revenue for Juventus is very low for having a stadium of their own. Unless this calculation was before Juventus stadium.

This is a very knee-jerk comment.
First of all Juventus arent playing in Europe.Thats had a very negative impact on Juventus financially.
Juventus also were 95m in the red last year.Juventus worst ever season in terms of finances in recent history. The board of directors also said that Juventus might possibly incur a loss this season as well.
I am sure you would want to read an article about Juventus on Swiss Ramble to educate yourself more. There is more to the total revenue of a football club than just owning a stadium. There are several other factors contributing to it.In time with better Matchday total revenue,TV money, most importantly Cl money and commercial aspects of the club the revenue would eventually rise.Though everything directly depends upon the success of the club on the pitch.
http://swissramble.blogspot.in/2012/01/juventus-black-night-white-light.html
This is not a latest article infact he has hardly even talked about this season financially but its worth a read nonetheless.
You should actually wait a few more years before giving your judgement on how stadium has effected Juve's finances and as i said there are several other factors contributing to it as well.

What is knee-jerk? Without a stadium for value and revenue, AC Milan is almost double the value of Juventus. And Milan have more revenue even though we don't have stadium revenue (though we have CL revenue).
I am thinking this is numbers from last year when Juventus do not have a stadium completed.

The Value doesn't not only take into account of the club footballing stature but their brand value, facilities (Training ground, Stadium etc)....and recently transactions like liverpool being sold for 300mil, and then their is all the income, revenues, sponsorship, TV deals etc.
Btw Deloitte Football Money league > forbes.....

You have the 6th most expensive stadium (all sports) in the world!!! If it is worth what it cost, that represent a large part of the value of Arsenal.
http://rookieexpert.hubpages.com/hub/13-Fabulously-Costly-Stadiums-Ever-Made
"Soccer Stadium
Total Cost: $770 million
Seating Capacity: 60,355
Year: October 2006
Home of: Arsenal Football Club.
Good-to-know: The stadium has an all-seated capacity of 60,355, making it the second largest stadium in the Premier League after Old Trafford which has a 76,000 seating capacity"

Re: Forbes' Latest List of Most Valuable "Soccer" Teams
Anyways as far as valuation is actually concerned they just say
"We began our valuations with the Football Money League report, published by the Sports Business Group at Deloitte, which compiles vital figures for the 20 soccer teams with the most revenue. We then use our own research, which includes reviewing financial documents and speaking to sports bankers, to derive operating income, debt and values for each team."

So building a stadium for a less amount actually decreases the brand value of a football club ?....

This valuation is from last year so it doesn't include your stadium in it

I wasnt talking about this list but just in general.
The cost of Juventus Arena is a mere 150m and you compare it to Arsenal and its 4 times lesser. Is it the board of directors' fault to build a stadium of cheaper value ?lol.
I really dont give much importance to these rankings though its a bit unfair on Juve's part.
