Footballing Cities Empty Footballing Cities

Post by Kev Sun Apr 15, 2012 2:57 am

Which European cities do you think have the best players? Is it Milan, or is it Madrid? Is it Manchester, or is it London? Barcelona or Munich?
Who would you field in your city- representation teams?
What would the formation be? Who would the managers be?
Which city would be the champions in a inter- city cup competition?

Discuss cheers.

No city per se - but what about the Ruhr Area? (It is sometimes considered a megacity, btw).

You can do whatever you want haha. I'm not gonna murder you if you make a team from a reasonable megalopolis. You can make a Schalke- Dortmund- based hybrid team if you want Razz.

This team is made with me assuming Inter Milan aren't performing like a pub team.

----------------------Ibra----------Milito-------------
--------------------------sneijder--------------------
------------------Aquilani--------Gattuso----------------
----------------------Cambiasso-----------------------
Nagatomo----Thiago s-----Nesta----------Maicon
----------------------Cesar--------------------------

I wanted to include Zanetti but I chose 4-3-1-2 .

Left-back for Milan has been a major issue.

Maicon as the RB on paper is excellent.

Gattuso when fit can do all the dirty work with Cambiasso and allow Aquilani to concentrate on passing.

When wesley is at his best he is better than KPB as the CAM.

I can't stress enough that this is the team I would chose if the Inter players were playing like they could. Otherwise It would probably be AC Milan XI with Milito and Cesar.

Ibra can create just as good as he can score and both the strikers are the top 2 scorers in serie A at the moment. Nothing more to say on that.

Are we talking which city produces the most talent, or which one bought the most?

BTW if we're talking Ruhrpott metropolitan, and bought players, it looks great. If it's just homegrown, it'd still look great.

Including bought players:
----------------- Weidenfeller
Pisczek --- Höwedes ---- Hummels --- Fuchs
------------------- Bender
Götze ---- Kagawa --- Raul --------- Reus
---------------- Huntelaar

If we're talking natives, it still looks pretty damn good, with the likes of Özil, Sahin etc. etc.... :X

Teams within cities. For example, Karim benzema plays for Real Madrid, which means that he can be in the Madrid team if you choose to do so. However, he can't play in the Lyon team, even if he is from there.

I would do a North East XI but it would just be the Newcastle team. So considering I'm English I will do a London XI.
