Tevez? Another striker shouldn't be our top priority. He's not a young player either.

Hernanes over Ganso? Whatever is the more reasonable deal. Ganso is younger and has potential, but on the other hand, Hernanes is Serie A proven. I wouldn't mind either and have no preference either way. The one thing that concerns me is that whilst Ganso is able to play deeper in midifeld, Hernanes would probably be wasted unless he plays as a TQ. I'm reluctant to move Boateng back into the mid after his great play behind the strikers in recent months.
hernanes is a cm being played as am at lazio

I know he can play deeper, I just think that he'd probably be a far better AM and we already have Boateng. That doesn't mean I would be against signing Hernanes though, it's just a concern I have.

I'll probably be seen as a troll though...
I have faith in Merkel! (as you could've seen from the line-up I made before your comment)

Merkel should start next season.

I could not care less that he is inexperienced, this kid is quality and if we don't give chances to players like him who truly deserve their place in the line-up, we will never, ever be the best team in the world again.

We admire the great youth that Madrid and Barca have fostered, yet we would rather have some mediocre 26-30 yr. old playing instead of a very talented, potential world-beater.

There's an opportunity cost: you can turn an good player into a great player OR you can turn a great player into a fantastic player.

The true legends start playing at the very top level when they are young. Maldini didn't become the greatest defender of all time by sitting on the bench- he got his debut at the age of 16!

No amount of ranting in this thread is going to draw the attention of Milan management, but if I could just convince some of my fellow Milan fans, I will be content with that.

Here is my my honest opinion about how nothing's will go for the summer market. We will 100% not get Kaka, forget about that thought. Balotelli is a maybe. What we really need to address is that Nesta is not getting any younger, but he is a great player to have for experience and leadership in the locker room. He still plays at a top level and wouldn't lower the level at all when on the field. The same goes for seedorf. Ambrosini when rested plays well and is a leader but I don't see him getting much play time next session, but he isn't leaving. Mark Van Bommel is leaving 100% in my honest opinion, he wants PSV and doesn't have much time left. I hate to see him go, but it's happening. Zambrotta, well we all know he is finished. Inzaghi as well. now the most controversial, sell Pato he is too injury prone and I feel we can really use the money and purchase someone for to fuel other purchases

Everyone out:
Zambrotta
Van Bommel (hate to see it)
Flamini
Inzaghi
Pato

Loan:
Strasser
Merkel

100% purchase:
Maxi
EL_92
Aquilani
Muntari

Purchase:
Montolivo
Ogbonna
Astori
Balotelli

Play like this:

-----------------------Abbiati
Abate----------Mexes---------Silva------------ogbonna

------------------------Montolivo
-------------Aquilani-------------Nocerino

-------------------------Prince
-------------------Cassano----Zlatan

therein lies the problem.

Everyone out:
Zambrotta agree
Van Bommel (hate to see it) will happen whether we like it or not
Flamini agree
Inzaghi agree
Pato only if a good offer comes, don't want us to sell below MP and then regret it because he gets over his injury problems fast

Loan:
Strasser loan perhaps, but I'd prefer a half-year loan in case we need some depth for the next half of the year
Merkel disagree

100% purchase:
Maxi it agree
EL_92 agree
Aquilani agree
Muntari disagree, here's an example of mediocrity being prioritised over youth

Purchase:
Montolivo agree, but only because he will be cheap/free
Ogbonna agree, he's definitely needed and I think he's a Milan fan too
Astori agree, I have my doubts though. I can see Yepes retiring soon, so I think he would be a good replacement
Balotelli only on the conditions that we pay well under the odds, and that he makes a solid commitment (like Cassano did when he joined us) to work hard and not be immature

Play like this:

-----------------------Abbiati
Abate----------Mexes---------Silva------------ogbonna

------------------------Montolivo
-------------Aquilani-------------Nocerino

-------------------------Prince
-------------------Cassano----Zlatan

Re: the formation...
- Forward line is perfect.
- Midfield is weak without a DM there.
- I'd prefer Ogbonna in his preferred position at CB.
- I don't trust Mexes as a starter, especially at CB. If we need to use him, I'd rather he played LB. Didac Vila would be a better option at LB though.

Post by TonyDaBeast Tue Apr 10, 2012 6:42 pm

hahaha that would be a mental team but there still a little sum sum missing in the midfield lol

i would go with something like

Abbiati

Abate - Silva - Nesta (assuming he WILL resign) - Didac
Boateng - Asamoah - Aquilani
Pato/Ibra/SES/Balotelli/Cassano (make your pick Razz)

huge improvement to the team, we have creativity, we have pace, we have power and a destroyer. and we only had to bring in 2 players. both combined about 30-40M TOPS. same amount we spent on ibra/robinho so we know it can be done

After the game against Chievo and his interview I want Acerbi in a Milan jersey incredibly bad next season. It seems as though he bleeds AC Milan and is a very good player as well. check out what he said

anyway if I were in charge I would put more effort into convincing MvB to stay than Nesta, the guy is vital to our team and this won't cancel the need of us to get a new DM.

the fact is that in both cases we're just postponing the inevitable

very true, i would love Strasser and whoever arrives (if any) to spend one more season with MvB, ideally i would love both MvB and Nesta to stay one more season, heck even Seedorf.

the player i never liked and would love to see him leave would be Mexes.

I changed my mind, we should sign Michael Bradley from Chievo instead of Kwadwo Asamoah. I think Bradley would be the perfect replacement for Van Bommel.

Well i thought Bradley was poor yesterday.

From an attacking perspective ,his passing was very poor and he was very easily getting dispossessed by the likes of Muntari.

He has talent but i dont think he is Milan material just yet though it would serve as decent cheap option.

He is more B2B than DM for me ,i'd say the same for Asamoah as well.If your talking about MVB's replacement then you may have to sign a natural DM.

I think you really missed out on Witsel..He's a quality player.

the one we trully need is a promising and effective left back that suits our play and fullfils our expectations. all the rest are bonus to a great squad. I would like to see a new talent play leftback, since we haven't anyone of high importance there.
