Finishing the chances you create make the teams football looks so much better imo. Getting an end product basically would actually make it more entertaining.

Not directly implying that finishing chances =good football but goals signifies entertainment.Period.

Obviously though as a Juventus fan ,would be frustrating to watch your team bottle chance after chance.So you may have to consider that perspective as well.

And i dont agree that comparison with Arsenal as we dont have that many technical players nor we play good football consistently..

Real Madrid averages 3.5 goals per game alone this season.

Also averages more shots than any other team in Europe right now per game (19.3), also the most shots on target per game ( 8 )

On top of all that this Real Madrid is the most directly attacking team since detailed statistics were first kept in the late 90's, not only in LigaBBVA but also in the UCL.

Can members not just read what The Franchise says first before being absolute morons. Personally, I believe that Barcelona play the best football in the world and my definition of that is what Barcelona play, that's the simplest way of explaining it.

Anyway, to answer the question, Napoli and Real Madrid have played some exceptional football this season. Had Arsenal still had Fabregas and Nasri, then they would undoubtedly be in contention.

Yeah, good shout, forgot about them. They have been, by their standards, outstanding in La Liga this season. Even when they look to have lost the game, they still put in excessive amounts of pressure, which not many teams do.

Villareal has some nice one touch football but 0 finishing... They're kind of pathetic this season so not really contenders but I think their passing is worth mentioning.

Napoli's counter attacking and Man U with Cleverley plays really well. Real Madrid plays good too. Can't decide though.

They're insanely fun to watch. 50% of their shots come from outside the area.

A large portion of their games are decided by one goal or goals in the final minutes. They pressure all the time and their passing is simple but not self-indulgent.

I hope they qualify for Europe in some way (CL not completely out of the question) They deserve the money.

Anyways, I personally believe Universidad de Chile, the current Sudamericana winners for those unaware, play some of the best football in the world. I watched their match against Godoy Cruz and their football was orgasmic, I tried looking for download links but I could not find any for those interested. They are coached by Jorge Sampaoli, another Argentine with a Newell's youth background, who is largely thought of as the heir of Bielsa.

Jibers, if there were an objective way to judge what "best" means then there would be no need to ask for anyone else' opinion. But "best" means different things to everyone. Figuring out what that definition is to everyone is part of this thread's goal.

Why not include Barcelona? Not because they play the best football but because if someone has a different opinion then Barca fans will come in here and defend Barca, making this a Barca vs everyone thread yet again. I wanted to avoid that.

that is if you forget that football is not just about stat and that there are more ways to be entertaining than just scoring goals :facepalm:

That plays was more entertaining than 99% of the goals that you have scored this season and all the useless shots that you have taken when there was no chance of of it going in. The only goal that you scored that has been more entertaining was that counter-attack, but other than that, if we are just talking about entertainmentwise, I take this play over any goals that you have scored..

Z those Madrid players are barely being pressured. From an objective standpoint the Villareal display is more impressive, and also more entertaining.

It was in response to harhar's attempt to paint Madrid as some sort of mug team.

42 passes man each one pegging Ajax back more and more into their half and the goal came out of no where thanks to a glorious Xabi pass.

Agree that Villarreal's play was epic though.
