So basically you've created a completely arbitrary and made up system where you control the rules and guardiola somehow comes out on top for not apparent reason other than you say so?
alright then

Re: Most completely decorated player/manager?
Well aren't you the smart one, I made the thread, about the most completetely decorated individual. If we would count different leagues, or multiple leagues of same kind and add those up, you could call it player/manager with most titles? You are more than welcome to make thread of that kind champ.BhritanniaBhlue wrote:jiopsi wrote:Same level competitions only counts as one.

Re: Most completely decorated player/manager?
I didn't include the number of titles in any of my posts. Only the variety of titles.
Care to elaborate on where the hell you got the number 13 from for Guardiola?
Apparently the rules regarding repetition of competition that seems to apply to the other players/managers doesn't apply to Guardiola...

He has won all the highest, 6 different level, club competitions, as player and manager (only one with this feat that I know), also won Olympics gold medal as a player.BhritanniaBhlue wrote:I didn't include the number of titles in any of my posts. Only the variety of titles.

Carlo Ancelotti 12, 6 as player, 6 as manager. Won also every club competition as player and manager. Only misses the Olympic gold that Guardiola has.

Re: Most completely decorated player/manager?
Ok, the conclusion most completely decorated players/managers:
Player/Manager Guardiola 13/20, Ancelotti 12/20
Player Henry/Cafu/Carlos/others 9/10
Manager many has 6/10
Surprised to see that there isn't greatly decorated club/national team managers out there.

Re: Most completely decorated player/manager?
Somehow I can't really follow that count of yours, I have to admit. But frankly, for me someone winning the World Cup as player and coach actually counts quite a lot more than all the club competitions. ^^

Re: Most completely decorated player/manager?
Sure, but this was most completely decorated as, most of different level titles. Sure you could argue that others are more important than others, but this wasn't about it. In OP you can see the levels which you can win titles.rwo power wrote:Somehow I can't really follow that count of yours, I have to admit. Re: Most completely decorated player/manager?
This is simply a stat tailor-made for Guardiola. I can understand most of your reasoning, but why do you disregard winning cups/leagues from different countries?
Isnt winning the EPL and winning La Liga a completely different achievement than winning only one of them?

Because it's, in theory, the same level of competitions.stunt wrote:This is simply a stat tailor-made for Guardiola. I can understand most of your reasoning, but why do you disregard winning cups/leagues from different countries?

Sure you could then differentiate example PL and La Liga, but would 2 La Liga = 2 PL or 1 La Liga + 1 PL? If yes, then it would drift again to the most titles won, which is different subject I think.

Re: Most completely decorated player/manager?
So winning 2 Portugese Leagues, 2 EPLs and 2 Serie As counts as 1, yet winning the Copa del Rey as a player and then as a manager counts 2.
Obviously tailoured so Pep can win and you can claim that 'Pep is the greatest footballing figure of all time' or something like that.

Yes, you are right. Just as Pep's 9 La Liga's as player and manager only counts as 2.Saetablanca wrote:So winning 2 Portugese Leagues, 2 EPLs and 2 Serie As counts as 1, yet winning the Copa del Rey as a player and then as a manager counts 2.

Re: Most completely decorated player/manager?
Wait, seeing as Di Stefano won the Ballon d'Or, and it was only open to European players, means that he won it being considered as a Spaniard. So why dont they consider that when they say that only Luis Suarez of Barca was the only Spaniard to ever win the Ballon d'Or?
