FIGC President Giancarlo Abete insists “Italian football is clean and does not need to be revolutionised by this scandal.”

No big money football is clean, but because of Calciopoli, the Italian game is policed at a higher level than other leagues and nothing is left hidden.

Compare that to the German betting scandal. There was very little press about it (even on goal.com) about it. The German FA representatives essentially denied instead of admitting that there were anomalies in "unimportant" games as Abete did.

Is this a reply to my post? Because we are talking about two different things. I am saying that Abete is coming across as skeptical and rather silly with these comments. What your saying is that no major football league is clean. Not the same...
