what an awful buy for milan :facepalm:

we bought that guy for 16.2 million in 2004 which was alot and he scored 7 goals in 50 appearances in la liga :facepalm:

.. his stats in seria a ,russian league and liga de brasil dont look good either..50 goals in 130 appearances

Yeah it's so disappointing guys, I can't believe our back-up for Ibra isn't a world class player who will cost us an arm and a leg, add over 10 million euros to our wage bill and demand game time when our forward line is already packed. :lucas:

Finally confirming that Tevez isn't coming is the best news I've heard throughout the entire transfer window.

I remember when there was a similar thread laughing at Juventus for buying Barzagli as a back-up and just like now, only a handful of posters actually defended what was a very sensible move even if he hadn't picked up his current vein of form.

If Maxi truly was brought in to be the "Vice-Ibra", then Lopez was the better option than Tevez who is more likely to not settle for the back-up (= Vice-Ibra) role that Lopez will most likely play.

Though I was all for Tevez, he would have had a much greater pressure to perform than Lopez.

All we can hope for now is that, like Boateng, Nocerino and El Shaarawy, that Lopez gives 100% effort in our jersey
