Re: La Liga HT Stats Report - Part 2 Players
I think the passing% should be done for those averaging at least 50 passes per game.

Re: La Liga HT Stats Report - Part 2 Players
It's nice to see someone pulling out stats once in a while (usually Crimson will do that).
Usually this forum can get filled with obsessive trolling, or just flaming and provoking. Kudos Crimson.
Anyway, seeing 3 of our players in that horrible group called "Most Often Dribbled by Other Players per Game" made me puke, and then I drank some water so I could puke again.
This is more than alarming. It shows that our midfield doesn't work as a whole. I don't know where Khedira is on that list but seeing Lass and Alonso there made me think - is our midfield really so bad?
Marcelo has improved his defending by miles in the last 2 years - just goes to show how bizzare it was to see him in Real Madrid's defence before that.

Re: La Liga HT Stats Report - Part 2 Players
If you combine the "most often dribbled by other players" stat of the midfielders and Ramos, then does this mean, Ramos being injured or suspended will spell trouble for Madrid?

I don't think so tbh. Ramos has been fantastic this year. (Best CB in Spain imho)
However the way we defend is set up in such a way that there is always a spare man available. You can driblle past, Lass, Marcelo and Xabi all you want because you'll always have to deal with either Pepe, Ramos or Arbeloa after that.
Add to the fact that if we've sealed the 3 points early (and it's happened a number of times) we tend to take our foot off the gas (something I don't like)

Just checked. Pepe is at 1.2 dribbled per game.
Arbeloa and Ramos are doing great this season.

Re: La Liga HT Stats Report - Part 2 Players
Correct me if im wrong, but could it be that Pepe is dribbled more than Ramos, not because he is a worse defender (he might be, but thats not my point) but rather he is usually the first centerback out from the back while Ramos does more mopping up?
I find stats, as great as they, usually tell you more about the circumsstances of the game or how the team functions, rather then how good or bad the players are.

Re: La Liga HT Stats Report - Part 2 Players
Pepe plays on Marcelo's side. Most teams attack from Marcelo's side when we play them (that explains Marcelo's stats btw)
I'd imagine that more defending to do = more mistakes or unsuccessful challenges.

Could be. Stats have to be interpreted given the match circumstances, as you say.
But given their playing style, i would expect the opposite to happen IMO.

Re: La Liga HT Stats Report - Part 2 Players
Indeed. I guess also Cristiano on Marcelo's side doesnt help stop teams wanting to attack down that side either.

True but since Cristiano ends up scoring anyway it's a worthwhile trade.

Actually, yeah he does. I thought that but when you said otherwise I wasnt going to argue with a Madrid fan.
I remember because I found it strange a rightback moving to leftcenterback.

Sami Khedira 0.4 per game in La Liga or 5 times total dribbled by other players
