Odds on Owen Coyle to be the first manager sacked
Bolton's opening 7 fixtures (considering their end of the season collapse of last year)
QPR A
Man City H
Liverpool A
Man Utd H
Norwich H
Arsenal A
Chelsea H
All of them are very much lose-able except maybe Norwich at home.
feel bad for OC

Oh god that is brutal.
But still doubt Bolton would sack him. He's done very well so far, and has revolutionized the way they play there.
He's a favourite with the players and fans too.

Botlon's owner is realistic. They play decent football.Their fans adore him. They are on tight budget.Even if they lose their first 6 matches and are in relegation dog fight come end of season he wont still be sacked.
They didnt sack Gary Megson even when their fans wanted him sacked for nearly a year.Unless he moves on to bigger things he will be their manager IMO.
You are wasting your money.

And he won't have Sturridge this time to save him!

Wagering on first seven games!!! They had poor run in later part of last season and still they didn't sack him. Yes, things will be tighter but that what a mid-table club is all about, living on the edge.

That's gonna be some August & September for Bolton xD
But could even be better to play the big teams early in the season when they might still be looking for their best form. I fancy Bolton taking points from two of those five big teams (just hopefully not from us).

no chance, the bolton board would be happy if bolton arent in the relgation zone after those fixtures!
anyway once they get ll the tough games out of the way nice ad early bolton could build up some momentum and go on a nice streak heading into Christmas where they will be playing mostly bottom half of the table sides at a time where teams loose form and injuries kick in
could very well be a blessing in disguise for bolton!

Re: Odds on Owen Coyle to be the first manager sacked
I was thinking about Bolton yesterday and I have to say I think they will be in danger.
Looks like Cahill will leave, Elamandor has gone. And they might not get Sturridge back who carried them towards the end of last season.
I know they also have serious financial problems so not sure they will have much money to bring in new players.

I've never seen a team get a tougher fixture than that. He won't get sacked though, they are more than capable of getting a win v the promoted teams.

Re: Odds on Owen Coyle to be the first manager sacked
coyle wont be sacked as long as he doesnt come below 15th at the end of the season.
there is no manager out there below the "top 6", who can get more then 4-5 points from them 7 fixtures.

Phil Gartside is no mug and Coyle is a proper decent manager.

Re: Odds on Owen Coyle to be the first manager sacked
That actually reminds me of the run in we had towards the end of this season.
Chelsea (h)
Stoke (a)
Spurs (h)
Everton (a)
Arsenal (a)
Liverpool (h)
ManCity (a)
Made especially worse with having no fit players.

If anyone can handle a fixture like that, Bolton can. Teams like Bolton, Stoke and Wolves laugh in the face of adversity

On top of that Kevin Davies is 34 years old I dont think he can repeat last seasons form. Bolton are in trouble if they dont bring in players.

Yeh, Bolton should be around the top of the Championship table.
They're 18th atm.

He was carried by Wilshere and then Sturridge.
Disagree.
