Really? They may not have won anything, but they have done some of the best business in the last few transfer markets; assembled a very competitive, young squad; managed their players well; and successfully adapted their tactics to deal with injuries to influential players all while holding their own against teams with far greater resources. How's Chelsea stack up to those accomplishments?

Personally, I think they have every right to be excited about being 6th in "the weakest Premier League season in decades."

Cup competitions apart, we've been shite this season. Can't even defend any longer. At the moment - and maybe this season, depends how you credit cup comps - Newcastle are the better team and I've got no problem admitting that.
