DJAMEL MESBAH is officially an AC Milan player, it has been confirmed on Wednesday noon.

As expected, Milan completed the second transfer of this January market transfer as after getting Alexander Merkel back on loan from Genoa on Tuesday, they have signed Lecce’s left wingback Djamel Mesbah.

Meetings between Milan and Lecce took place all over the last two weeks, and today (Wednesday) the deal has been finalized. Mesbah, who is expecting a child any moment now, will train with Milan from tomorrow.

“U.S. Lecce announces that it has permanently sold the player Djamel Mesbah to AC Milan,” a statement on Lecce’s official website reads. The rest of the statement reveals that David Speziale (striker, 1994) has moved to Lecce on co-ownership and will start playing for the Giallorossi starting from the next season.

Milan apparently added €500,000 to the co-ownership deal in order to land the 27-year-old. Rodney Strasser has also returned from his loan spell, but he’s unlikely to feature again this term through injury.

This means Taiwo is out ... and Mesbah isnt a good LB !? I'll wait to judge him .I never noticed this guy even when we played Lecce ... I have no idea what this guy represents !

I think this guy is more like a wingback who plays on the right.He seems to have good pace in him.Have watched him but not watched him enough.

We'll just have to wait and see. With all due respect to Boateng and Nocerino they didn't do anything before coming to Milan. And look at them now. I just hope that Mesbah and Merkel will be new Boateng and Nocerino and not new Taiwo and Emanuelson.

We thought we signed a good player in Taiwo and he's failed to live upto the expectation whereas a player like Nocerino, we initially thought was a waste of space, look at him now.

Just let Mesbah's performances on the pitch do the talking before we start expecting the worst of him

Worse case scenario, this guy ends up being average but bearable presence just like Bonera , and thus Galliani will not be motivated to get a proper replacement.

I want a real replacement, not cheap panic buys like this. And what makes it even more infuriating is that we have WC players in centre of Defence and Attack, but year after f*cking year we never buy a quality Lb or Midfielder to replace the ones we lost. We lost Pirlo , Kaka , Maldini and replaced them with Aqua for Pirlo , no replacement for Kaka , Taiworst / Shittonini / Hurbs and now Mesbah for Maldini, its no wonder we've gone backwards..

the funniest part is that if somehow all those players mediocrity add up it still wont be half the player maldini was.

I can't see why anyone would blast Aquilani, the guy has been brilliant for us.

lets give him chances and not jump straight to judgement. i have regrets doing that with abate and nocerino and they turned out just fine.

maybe our position to sign worlds finest players has been conditioned by bad economy, and not owning our own stadium hence, not generating though fiscal revenue. not to mention just last year Milan's parent Finnivest was fined 500 million!!! lol enough money to build our own stadium and buy best players... also galliani has been saying over and over again that tax rules that apply to players in italy is different from that of Spain and England, that holds advantage.

maybe in future if we do well in CL and Serie A and can be able to make a global statement and appeal enough to generate more money and bring commercial success we can buy best players.... no one knows

for now we just have to do best with what we have available...

Not Blasting him MTD, he's actually the best signing for us so far this season. I was just pointing out that he is Pirlo's direct replacement.

We aren't going to win Cl if we continue this ridiculous transfer strategy, we are good enough to win Serie A though. Its common knowledge that we've been hamstrung by financial problems last couple of years and that has result in us having low spending power. But is no excuse considering the LB has been an Achilles heel for years now.
