Actually Sahin will not compliment Allen. Sahin is a play maker comparable to Xavi position wise, Allen also plays in the same position. Against bottom half teams Allen-Sahin can be used but Lucas will be on the bench.

Allen-sahin-Lucas lacks directness and a attacking minded player who can make something in the final third.

French magic Square only worked good enough once in the history and that was because of Platini and Tigana. Both as unique as they get. Not sure Lucas, Allen, Sahin n Gerrard are comparable

Then the plan works perfectly but from the limited swensea games i saw Allen is more of a CM than a player who make a deference in the final third.

Exactly what i have been saying.....

Gerrard won't do f*ck all on the right he is'nt 26 anymore, all seems a bit pointless really.

Would have made more sense to get an AM to rotate with Gerrard and eventually replace him and of course eventually sort out the forward line.

Gerrard will play through the centre just behind both forwards.

And then your argument that the PL necessitates width comes into play and my counter argument is that the fullbacks and Suarez will provide it.

Especially if they dominate possession like Rodgers wants them to.

Yeh that's the only problem. Neither Sahin or Allen are exactly final third players.

Fair enough if that's the case but i doubt it i think your more hoping this happens than any real indication it will happen.

Especially considering Rodgers is obsessed with 4-3-3.
