He is a good player for Madrid but not a leader.

Madrid without him can still beat allmost all of the teams.

For some games Madrid with CR is a better team, but not always.

Its embarrasing to see comparisions of him and Messi as everyone knows the only reason CR has been nominated for the Ballon dOr are his amount of goals scored, not the tittles he has inspired his team to win.

Not saying hes bad or anything but just saying that hes not what most of the people and especialli media make him out to be.

well his goal gave us a title, ironically the only title anyone was able to nick off from barca.. and if you think playing without ronaldo madrid get a lot of wins etc, please see our 09 season for reference, ,even in 07 and 08 we used to lose points in tough away games.. ronaldo scores a lot in these games.. before we made teams like sevilla a joke, the ramon sanchea pizuan was a terrible venue for madrid to come to..

i dont think diptiman was implying that
but its just that he scores some super important goals

if you look at 06-07 till 09-10 we never won at places like Seville but since his arrival, he seems to add alot to the team
he is an extremely important player for Madrid
and to criticize him would be stupid

And please dont make posts like 'this post is a fail...' etc.

Back it up with some arguments to prove me wrong

And I think we are talkin of RM of this and the previous season

Besides scoring in the win of the Cup is not enough to be considered Worlds second best.

It requires much more than that.

yeah but the sort of criticism thats being labelled towards him for a couple of bad performances is amazing
like the whole overrated joke or people saying that he isnt even 2nd best anymore which after scoring 55 goals in a calendar year is stupid

he hasnt played well in 5 games now. thats a tough run of form, not a collapse of his abilities. it doesnt warrant a thread like this.. hardly any of our team performed today.. or in the last few matches..

Anyway.....no one should take me seriously on this topic......an image formed in my mind a long time ago about what this guy actually is..........and it won' ever be altered, it can only be blocked out by good performances but it will never actually be changed.

Well.....some of his more essential skills haven't surfaced in over a year.....mainly dribbling.

Some stuff just isn't going right for him....1st touch passing etc.

Either way....as an inverted Winger you need above average dribbling and I'm not confident about his play in that specific category.He would improve and Di Maria would improve and he team would improve if he switched wings.It would allow him less avenue to screw up....it would give him a better go to move(kick and run) and it would force him to cross / pass...something he's actually good at.

i completely understand.. its the same feeling for benzema in my mind formed by his 2010 form .. i cant completely like him but know hes very imp for the team and what he provides

doesnt it also signify that whichever match ronaldo played well turned into a rout because he scored hattricks or braces .. its not as he saw sevilla betting butchered 3 nil and asked them if he could score the other 3 to add to his tally

I am quite sure all this criticism against CR would cease if he ever grabs a big game by its scruff and pulls it away from the opposition. And it does not necessarily have to be by scoring.

People want to see more from Ronaldo. However, the negative opinions about him are clearly overboard.
