Moneyball, Real Steel, In Time, and J. Edgar are all good movies in their own right.Messiakanino wrote:the quality of movies have gone down.....really there aren't any movies out right now, that seem like they can b worth it....Maybe Ideas of March.

Re: The Movie House
In Time was quite decent. Real Steel as well wasn't too bad for what it was.

Saw Moneyball and Real Steel, they were decent but nothing extraordinary......I'm talking about real hits, Inception type movies....The movies you listed were the best from the worst bunch

Great movie if you like basketball stories.
Awesome movie. Loved Leon in that one. Tupac as well had a great role, but he was much better in Juice.
Good shout man.

Just watched 'Warrior' with Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton....Really touching, definitely worth a watch. Made me tear up a bit at the end.....It's rated 8.3 by IMDb...One of the best films of 2011

Re: The Movie House
Watched Cowboys and Aliens over the weekend. Decent is about all I can say. A bit bloodier than I thought it would be which was a pleasant surprise, but all in all, it was decidedly average.
Even Olivia Wilde looked rather meh in it. She'll always be Thirteen to me.

Was wondering who was gonna comment on that little quip. Yup, Thirteen was indeed quite the character.

Re: The Movie House
Finally got around to watching Transformers 3. It wasn't as bad as I expected. Far better than the second and a tad better than the first.
The first Transformers movie that had that "epic" feel to it. The destruction of Chicago was quite beautifully captured. Was nice to see that city get some large-scale movie treatment for a change.

Re: The Movie House
'Stay' With Ryan Gosling and Ewan McGregor is simply one of the craziest mind-fukk movies of this decade. This movie will first grab you in the chick's,then slap you in the face, then it will proceed by kicking you in the nut's three times when each time is stronger, then it will force you to say thank you.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND WATCH IT. But you have to finish it, or else the movie won't make any sense.

Re: The Movie House
I just watched Hellraiser (1987)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093177/
A great movie IMO.
I head that the sequels suck so I don't want to ruin my experience. Anyone else who watched it?

I've seen them all. Pinhead :king:
But I'd check out the sequel, Hellbound. The others go downhill from there but the first 2 are classic.

Cube 2 wasn't as good IMO and I heard terrible things with Cube Zero
I liked the open ending of Cube and for us left wondering what the hell just happened

I've seen Cube, great movie. Never saw Cube 2 or any of the others though.
It's essentially SAW but better, before the SAW series even came out.
