Re: Reus to BVB in the Summer!
what a team it would have been if sahin stayed there.
Reus is an amazing player, someone extremely dangerious on counterattacks.
BVB now have an amazing team.
they need to sign strootman (strootman with bender WOW), and a talented striker, goal getter, perfered would be young but klose would also suit them well.

The goodbye would be for Kuba/Grosskreutz etc.
Not that, i think it's that him leaving would help fund the deal. He wants to go, if there's no game time given. BVB agreed to his decision iirc

Re: Reus to BVB in the Summer!
Oh, yeah. Most likely unless he can get back on form.
But selling Barrios means looking for another striker, because putting all faith in Lewandowski is a mistake waiting to happen. Guess they'd have to make one of those clever 5m buys/free agents unless they have more money than we expect.

I doubt Großkreutz will be kicked out. He is a "Dortmunder Jung" (Dortmund boy) who lives and dies for the BVB and Kloppo knows that, too.Sushi Master wrote:The goodbye would be for Kuba/Grosskreutz etc.
Shame on Weidenfeller to mess up the Dortmund age average. But then, they do need one grown up to look after the kidsragbirjosh wrote:The average age of the team I posted is about 21-22.......with lietner

Re: Reus to BVB in the Summer!
If I'm not mistaken. Götze has agreed to stay for another season, too. So Dortmund will have Reus, Kagawa and Götze all in the same team for at least a season.
As others said, it only needs a good striker now and you've got a great team potentially. Maybe Podolski, if they can stump up the cash?

They should make Lewandowski take extra shifts in target practice. Lewa isn't so bad after all - I mean, he did displace Barrios.GoonerJay29 wrote:As others said, it only needs a good striker now and you've got a great team potentially. Maybe Podolski, if they can stump up the cash?

Godolski and Klopp recently had a go at one another. Can't see a transfer going through but stranger things have happened of course.

So, does this mean Mochengaldbach(sp) get Farfan?

Re: Reus to BVB in the Summer!
M'gladbach certainly won't pay Farfan 14 mio Euros to sign up with them, nor would they pay 6 mio/year. BL clubs don't like to be held ransom and they try to stay in the black numbers, if possible.

Re: Reus to BVB in the Summer!
I am the only one thinking that Dortmund spending 14.5m is like Ashley spending anything above 7.5?
Very uncharacteristic spending from a club that have a very similar policy to our own.....

Difference is that Dortmund will most likely Champions League money to offset that a bit, so they can take a bit of a risk. Newcastle don't.

Re: Reus to BVB in the Summer!
Well, so far the spending cap per player was set at 5 mio Euros for Dortmund, IIRC. But I guess they will use the CL money they got this season for the Reus deal (even going out at the groups gave them more money than they got as extra in the years before).Immaculate_Mole wrote:I am the only one thinking that Dortmund spending 14.5m is like Ashley spending anything above 7.5?

Re: Reus to BVB in the Summer!
Well, Barrios might leave - he did voice his displeasure for not being a starter anymore, and the BVB stated they wouldn't put stones into his way if he really wants to leave.Immaculate_Mole wrote:Using CL money all on one player?

Well, last I read was that Dortmund hasn't gotten any offers for Barrios (yet). So any guess is valid.supra969 wrote:wondering where would he go

Re: Reus to BVB in the Summer!
48% - Borussia's Marco Reus has been directly involved in 48% of Gladbach’s goals this season (13 goals, 2 assists). Talent.
5 – Since his arrival at Gladbach, Marco Reus has missed 5 games in the BL – Gladbach have won none of these (D1 L4). Essential.
Some stats from OptaFranz.
Who's the likely replacement for him at Gladbach?

Re: Reus to BVB in the Summer!
Good question. So far there is no one lined up yet AFAIK, but as Reus stays till the end of the season, M'gladbach has some time left to scout the market. I think it depends a bit on whether they play CL or EL or not, too. If they stay in a CL spot, they might have a good argument to lure a good attacker to them, especially as they got 17.5mio Euros for Reus and thus have some money to spare.GoonerJay29 wrote:Who's the likely replacement for him at Gladbach?
BTW, here is a transfer rumour overview for the BL: http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/geruechtekueche/aktuell/geruechte.html

Don't get why Klopp is building such a good side when he will end up at Arsenal in 4-5 years time
