Highly predictable.

Never, not for a moment did I believe they would hold on for an entire half.

As soon as Madrid scored it was already over.

The inferiority complex most La Liga teams have for Madrid and Barca is just sad.

Khedira, Benzema and Ozil came in and rescued us from the donkeyness of Ronaldo and co.

They had an efficient game plan to isolate Alonso, but they could never really take hold of the game. Scored 2 very easy corners and defended well, but their inability to be dangerous on counter cost them the game.

A better team would have slayed us tonight, specially with that 2-0 lead

I suppose, but I dont think its quite this bad.

If Chelsea are 2 goals down to a team comparable to Malaga in the PL, I dont think they would come back so predictably.

I also dont think any of the PL teams are as consistently good as Barca or Madrid so that makes it worse too.

I actually think it's lighter in the PL........

Against Man Utd tho it seems teams can be 3-0 up and still give up......it's horrendous....Fergie has *bleep* Britan really.

City and Utd are quite comparable they have both lost only 1 and 2 games all season respectively....

Unless you mean actual performances and not consistent results.

Well I think there is a difference between giving up and being 2 nil up and still so easily overtaken.

Madrid wiped out that lead so easy it was shocking, well if I havent seen it over and over it would be shocking.

That backpass for Benzema's goal was blue square league level.

We started a bad lineup where we had zero creativity and as soon as the creative guys came in we played our game.

Simple, Malagas attack was too old/slow for us. Their counters were generally bad. They scored 2 lucky headers (or poor defending) and that's it.

Anyways, if El Kaiser was there he would have taken the headers. We usually dominate in the air, but as soon as Ramos was injured we conceded 2. hmm

Really Nick? 2 nil at half time and it was 2-2 within like 20 minutes?

If your bottom 5 in the leauge, I expect that, but arent Malaga supposed to be at least decent lol

Tbf Omarish i think Dani is getting at the typical inferiorty complex that most of the league has over Barca and Madrid.....

Not just tonight, no matter if they 3-0 down you expect Madrid to come back, it really is like they know they are going to lose before they step into the tunnel.

@Ragbirjosh

Exactly what iam talking about, before when i said i dont understand why so many teams sit back and defend a lead because it allows the opposition to come back.....

IMO if your against a bigger team and allow them to come onto you at will you are asking for trouble.....

Sure, but Man Utd have been doing that for years. I get it, but its just them that do it with any regularity so it seems.

In La Liga, teams arent even in that position anything like as often and even when they are they rarely hold on.

I can only speak for myself, but I found that very predictable that Malaga were going to fold. I dont feel that level of predictability with anyone in the PL other than Man Utd and still not to this degree.

I think they were brave. Not that they produced any game because they didnt, and they scored on two corners we defended horribly.

Playing away from their home turf, in the Bernabeu, they were still holding on quite well, and a solo action from Khedira saw them conceding the lead.

That back pass after was just...

I genuinelly think small teams across the board suffer with going infront against bigger teams.....

They dont have the belief and thier first reaction is to sit back and contain which is the wrong approach imo to allow the better team to come at you at will and chance after chance will ensue.......

Best bet would be to not change the plan that much and still remain defensively stable , if it get you in the lead it cant be too bad surely?

But no too many teams sit back and contain and just get overrun in double quick time......

I understand its different against a possession side like Barca but majority of sides it isnt the way to go imo.

You will see alot of big teams lose more often if less teams sit back imo.

The thing about it is....Madrid is so packed with talent.....we threw on 2 WC players in Benzema and Ozil and flooded the field with quality. We should expect to dominate after that.

United does nothing...or makes a couple straight swaps and all of a sudden they're camped in the opposition's half. I'll never know what Fergie has done but it never ceases to amaze me how team's just give up against United.

Malaga didn't dominate us tonight........

I agree with the shattered mentality Liga teams have against Madrid and Barca. But really, Málaga's defense is horrible.... complete shit.

Van Nistelrooy is way past it and Godrón didn't have time or service to make an impact. Those Málaga goals were also fairly lucky.
