Totti thinking of leaving Roma
Roma captain Francesco Totti has reacted angrily to supposed criticism from the team's supporters by claiming he is considering leaving the club he has spent his whole career with.
The 35-year-old forward has featured sparingly under Luis Enrique this term and has yet to find the back of the net, missing a crucial penalty on Monday in Roma's 1-1 home draw against Juventus.
Roma spent big in the summer, signing a number of recognised stars including two strikers, Bojan Krkic and Pablo Osvaldo.
Speaking before the club's Christmas dinner to Sky Sport Italia, Totti stated: "I've thought of leaving Roma, especially recently. I'm sorry to hear some of the statements made by Roma supporters. If they have a problem with me being in Rome, I will continue to think about leaving."
Totti made his first appearance for the club in March 1993, with former coach Vujadin Boskov choosing to play him in the 2-0 victory against Brescia as a 16-year-old.
The attacker is currently fifth in the list of all-time Serie A goalscorers, grabbing 207 goals in 481 appearances so far.
Roma are 10th in Serie A this term and face a tricky trip to Napoli on Sunday where they will be hoping to improve on their recent performances
Real Madrid Get INNNNNNNNNNNN (Stupid thought)
Is this realistic? lol

Totti and Roma are inseprable names, if anything he should retire or try MLS or some middle of the table team

Re: Totti thinking of leaving Roma
Probably a bluff to force himself into the starting 11.
If he does leave I imagine he would go to America. Or a smaller European non-Italian team.

Where exactly does he mention that LE is to blame in the above statement?

Rubbish.
If those problems were so profound then don't you think Totti would've mentioned them in the same interview? He no longer has a problem with LE. It's the fans who have lost faith in him that have him rattled.
Once again, you fail in your ridiculous attempt to paint LE as the pantomime villain of Rome.

After what Baldini and Sabatini have done with Totti, I think not.

Re: Totti thinking of leaving Roma
Man......honestly.....I hate this.
I don't like to see players leaving their club after 18 professional years.....especially on bad terms.I mean a guy like Totti.....who had the oppurtunity to leave so many times..........who could've won so many cups......,made so much money..............and still stuck it out with Roma(great club btw) deserves a lot moe than this.
He has always been one of my favourite players..............I'd honestly hate to see him leave Roma..........but in my eternal greed........I'd be happy to have a superfluous superstar at Real Madrid, especially one I enjoyed watching as much as Franceso.
If he's leaving he should go where the money is or somewhere he can win a UCL.............IMO he deserves both.

Re: Totti thinking of leaving Roma
Totti already came out and denied saying this and said his words were misinterpreted. Baldini also said that Totti leaving Rome is proposterous.
Big LOL at anyone who would imagine this happening.

Baldini has buried whatever beef he's had with Totti for the greater good of Roma. Totti has done the same. They are bigger men than you give them credit for. As for Sabatini, I have absolutely no idea what you're inferring, but it's probably just as absurd.
Totti is not going anywhere. Just another hit piece from the media to gem up further discontent within the club. None of actual Roma fans are falling for it. No surprise that you are.

Re: Totti thinking of leaving Roma
Exactly right Mclewis. And Totti even said, he didn't think of leaving because of the coach or his teammates, but because of a certain tiny group of fans... who in reality aren't fans, but idiots. Tony, don't try to spin this your way and say it's Enrique's fault, because that is untrue. Totti will never play for another team. The only other jersey that he'll ever wear is the benefit version of Roma's jersey.
