When the celtics signed the big 3 they did nothing like the Heat did. I think one is always going to come across over-confidence amongst sports stars. Perhaps they mean it or it's just a method to prepare themselves mentally for a game.

Look at Real before they played Liverpool a couple seasons ago. They kept talking about how they'd beat us, and didn't manage to score a single goal.

Being new to the game, I will agree there has been a lot of LeBron hype in the media and his performances, from my point of view, really lacked. Watching him play for the first time, I expected to see more, tbh. But, does all the blame fall on him? No, not really.

The star player, the guy who you rest your hat on, simply has to come to play, but they especially have to come and play when the game is on the line, in the 4th. If they dont, all the stats and crap dont mean anything.

Lebron is the supposed star of this league, let alone his team, but where was he when it mattered? For that, you get the blame.

I was simply trying to reason out, but clearly I'm wrong. Like I've mentioned before, I am very new to basketball. That is, watching it consistently. Ever since my move to the States, it's what everyone does and hence I started as well. So if any of my posts sound like they are full of crap in this thread, don't hesitate to correct me.

I dont know what this loss does, I dont think it humbles him though. Look at how he has reacted to this and the things he has said, he hasn't learned anything. What he has said so far about the loss has been typical of a spoilt kid, not a humbled player.

In 84' Magic Johnson was the reason the Lakers lost to the Celtics, it was his fault like it was Bron's fault...(not exactly, not as bad)...but the important thing was, he took that, stayed in the gym all summer and shot 1,000 jump shots a day because that was why the Lakers lost..his lack of a jump shot.

Now, will Bron do that much work in the summer, will he come back next year with a much needed post up game? I doubt it.

Also, post game or not, what can cure Bron's lack of heart? At least Magic took those shots and failed...Bron did something much worse...just like vs Boston...he gave up, he didnt even try. I dont know how you fix that...its his head, his heart...they say you either have it or you dont. For Bron's sake, he will hope such isnt true.

So, if he gets to the final again, who knows what will happen. But I for sure wont be expecting anything from him.
