Who should start as right winger for Arsenal?
Gervinho vs. Walcott
Attention, leave your biased crap where you came from :lol!:
1. ONLY post if you have seen both players in action.
2. Post why you think that one or the other is better. No blind assumptions.
Arsenal signed Gervinho recently. The question, who should start as right winger for Arsenal if both fit?
Discuss! :lol!:

Re: Gervinho vs. Walcott
They both play on the right flank, though. The main advantage Gervinho has is his great strike rate and that he's not made of paper.
Walcott is already adapted and has been a total beast apart from injuries, so I'm not sure. They can rotate while Walcott builds some muscle or something.

Babun, you haven't seen Gervinho....
And Arsenal still haven't signed Gervinho, so there's no need to jinx it

Re: Gervinho vs. Walcott
But Gervinho does not play on the right wing for Lille.....
Anyone who actually bothered to watch Lille last season would know this.
Go and watch a few games and see how he plays, most of the time he's a floating forward who runs through the centre at goal. I've seen him switch left to right to through the middle all in one game and he does this constantly.
I don't see how Walcott and Gervinho would compete at all for any position....

I never claimed that Walcott is better. I also never claimed to have watched Gervinho. Lille was one of the clubs that never appealed to me. I never really watched any of their matches because I never found them interesting and so, as a result, I've barely seen Gervinho and when I have, I wasn't really keeping tabs on him.
Babun never watched Gervinho and barely watched Walcott, but here he is claiming that Gervinho is better. Awesome

What about Nasri then?Crimson wrote:But Gervinho does not play on the right wing for Lille.....

I know him, my problem was Nasri. He is a starter for sure, it leaves only one wing free and that's the Walcott one :lol!:Iceman wrote:I never claimed that Walcott is better. Re: Gervinho vs. Walcott
I just posted this on the Gervinho to Arsenal thread . I will post it here
Walcott was pretty good and better than most wingers in the league . Certainly better than Bale .
I think most here under rate walcott because of the "English youngsters are hyped thing" .
Also isnt this the first really good season Gervinho has had ? IIRC he was touted for around 5/6 mil last season . If Gervinho can have a breakthrough at 24 i dont why Walcott should be judged as a finished article at 21 .

Coming from an Arsenal fan, I would always pick Walcott ahead of Nasri.

competing for a starting spot, assuming Nasri stays and they sign someone like Benzema. Only so many players can start.
at the end of the day, both would play a lot.

It all depends on who Arsenal is playing, I like Gervinho I think he is a amazing player. To me Gervinho is better player then Walcott in decision making.

They wont sign Benzema . They play enough matches to rotate between Van Persie Chamak Gervinho Nasri (if stays ) Walcott Ashravin and Alex Chamberlien for 3 positions .

Re: Gervinho vs. Walcott
Both are fast, both are decent finisher but Gervinho is much better at dribbling and creating his own chances.

Re: Gervinho vs. Walcott
gervinho will be better against the likes of stoke. Where individual brilliance is required, mainly by dribbling.
Walcott will be better against the likes of Tottenham where they dont really defend deep
Wenger is planning on different styles against different teams. Thats why He is buying or supposedly buying Samba/Dann and keeping Koscielny at the same time

They wont? they will try to do it and will probably succeed if we do sign Aguero. Another player that walk into that team and put his feet on the table.
song wilshere
gervinho nasri benz
van persie

I doubt Ino would know iam a Newcastle fan lol
It's definitely Babun, btw it would be interesting if Arsenal dont buy him for some reason that Newcastle stick to thier word that are no longer interested because he would ruin the team spirit lol.
