See Henry + Pires in 1st season. They were awful.

Teams we could play as it stands: Napoli, Trabzonspor, Ajax, Zenit. (Of course, 1 more round to play, will change).

I would love to draw Ajax.
Amazing club with such rich history.
And of course it would see the return of Bergkamp!

Sick of Gervinho's terrible finishing. Song shocked us with those dribbles MOTM

Yes. Agree with getdarker.
With RvP's magical scoring, its hard to notice other players almost. But Walcott has improved and its visible. He may not be scoring much but his crosses and decision making are much much better.

Walcott had some moments of pure magic there. The one thing that stuck to my mind is when the ball was coming for him, and he faked receiving it and let it roll to the player behind him, made a fantastic run, got the ball and then made a super turn and cross that was just begging to be scored.
Of course, later in that same match, Walcott ran with the ball and crossed to the fans in row-Z, but whatever

Van Persie will play against Fulham, but will be rested V Man City and Olympiakos in next few weeks.

Why would we rest him for the City game?
I'd rather keep him on the bench for Saturday's game and start him vs City.

He's proven to be our only way of scoring and we're resting him for the match against the PL leaders in the cup that we're most likely to win out of the 4 we're competing for??

Probably just afraid of him being De-Jong-ed
I doubt we'd rest him against City though, out of all competitions. That being said, it would definitely be an element of surprise if he doesn't start....just not necessarily the good kinda surprise for us gooners.
