Agreed. But MAtS picked up a lot from Neuer in terms of commanding the defence, and also their mannerisms are quite similar in the way they spread their legs when making saves. I think they're both amazing

His absolute prime was ridiculous. I think he's definitely top 3 all time at his absolute peak and his career has been incredible as well. You can't ignore prime Buffon though. I know a lot of people have forgotten the 2000's decade and they remember Buffon of the last decade which he probably should've retired sooner, but you can't fuck with 00's Buffon. For me probably the GOAT keeper peak.
