Del Piero: 'I'll continue to play'
Alessandro Del Piero may be leaving Juventus at the end of the season, but “I can say with certainty that I will continue to play football.”
The captain turns 37 on Wednesday and Juve announced this will be his final campaign in Turin.
However, Alex has now come forward to confirm he has no intention of hanging up his boots.
“From June 30 2012 I will still be a football player,” he told TG1 cameras.
“I’ll have time to think about it, but regardless of the club I can say with certainty that I will continue to play football.”
Although there have been reports of a move to his hometown club Padova or even Milan, the most likely option for Del Piero is an experience overseas.
Swiss side Sion have already put themselves forward, while American MLS is another alternative.
