6th November 1986
The greatest manager ever was appointed as manager of Manchester United. 25 years on and still going on strong.
A wonderful achievement.

Re: 6th November 1986
My favorite manager, and definitely the best by quite a margin imo.
It's one thing to be successful, but it's another thing to maintain that success. Very few managers have been able to do that, and SAF's one of them.

Ser Alex deserves nothng but respect for what he achieved. In the world when managers are getting sacked every weak he managed to build 25 year long empire. Always building new teams, always managing to adapt to modern game, and the most important thing always wining trophys.

Re: 6th November 1986
SAF = MU. That is all that has to be said.
An embodiment of the club, and a great man nonetheless. Nobody will ever be able to replicate what he has done. Hard to believe this man has seen a range of players from Peter Schmeichel to Eric Cantona to David Beckham to Roy Keane to Wayne Rooney. Amazing.

I appreciate it when I read comments from fans of other clubs giving respects to SAF.

The Sir Alex Ferguson Stand. Such a befitting tribute to a remarkable manager. Great gesture from United.
The unveiling of it made me get goosebumps. <3 SAF.

Not strange to hear the word "best ever" associated with this Sir, the question is when he retire who would you guys feel most suitable to prolong the legacy?

Solksjaer I think is a good candidate, he just won Molde their first championship in 100 years...and I think with a bit more experience at a higher level, he will improve even more and then be ready to take over United.

It's great if Ole really would succeed Fergie and really succeed in that. But, don't you think Man Utd will try to attract the biggest names like Mou and Pep? Any other candidate you know, I don't really know who's connected with Utd.

Pep Guardiola will be a good candidate...both he and Mourinho are brilliant managers. I like Pep more though for the reasons that controversy doesn't follow him as much as Mou.
