Re: Which team could afford Ozil?
His dad is not his agent?
Well this was a f*cking waste of time LOL
Just a parent wanting his son to play then, just like any little league ever.

Re: Which team could afford Ozil?
Btw, not liking your situation is absolutely fine. A player like Ozil deserves to play regularly... there's no doubt about that. If Mou doesn't play him as a regular, he should go in fact. But no need to make a public spectacle out of it.
If this is in fact true and not just the ramblings of the old man, take care of business behind closed doors. Madrid will not deny a transfer request if it comes to that.

Yep. Remember reading the article and quotes by Reza Fazeli as to how disappointed he was. Ozil's dad is his manager and agent.

I have some memories of something like that myself. Oh well, that was a mistake LOL. I'm sure he wanna make some quick buck for his dad, but he is clearly not giving him the right advices now it seems.
I found the article

Re: Which team could afford Ozil?
Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Ozil has opted to part company with his agent, Reza Fazeli, and has replaced the Iranian with his father, Mustafa.
Fazeli had represented the Germany international since his 17th birthday and brokered his moves from Schalke to Werder Bremen and then to Real Madrid."I have always been either involved in the important decisions on Mesut's future or I was the one who called the shots. I have always been the most important person next to him," Fazeli was quoted as saying by Bild.
"This really hurts on a personal level. His father wants to take care of Mesut's business by himself and we have to accept that. This doesn't affect the friendship between Mesut and me and I wish him all the best."
Although Mustafa Ozil does not have the required papers to operate as an agent, Fifa regulations permit him to be the Madrid star's representative because of their kinship.

Re: Which team could afford Ozil?
It depends how traditional the family is... if it's very traditional, the father has a HUGE say, if not the final word. That's just the way it goes.

Re: Which team could afford Ozil?
I could totally understand what his old man is saying but the talk about leaving is ridiculously premature, even for a parent who loves his child. If I know Ozil is a vital cog in the RM machine then surely Ozil, Mourinho and the rest of RM would know this.
Think his old man needs to really relax a bit with the leaving talk. Honestly too soon for such things...

Re: Which team could afford Ozil?
if we get an ultimatum then the decision is obvious- ozil will have to play and kaka will have to leave or accept a bench role.
ozil has already proven he can play well for us, incredibly fright future if we dont lock him down some one else will have a WC player in ozil in the future.
cant mess this up.

Re: Which team could afford Ozil?
also.. ozil signed for this team knowing that we had kaka, and vdv for that matter. i have a feeling this is just a little more overly dramatic than what is reality.

Re: Which team could afford Ozil?
this is rather stupid, we all know ozil is the man, kaka is old and is no real threat in the big picture for ozil.
this thread was made out of pure wonder and it has unsettled the minds of people.

Re: Which team could afford Ozil?
Who cares about his father??
Madrid has never allowed a player to pressurize the club, why should ozils father thinks they can influence especially with mou as manager?? lol
Is ozil integral part of squad.....yes
Is he irreplacable..........NO
We can find as good players on the market. What does his father thinks?? his son is no zidane to build a team around him.

Sell Kaka and make Ronaldo defend, whether he likes it or not.

Mou's answer: " Ozil has got more competition than last season. Not only is Kaka fit again but also Fabio Coentrao could play in his position"

Losing Ozil would be crazy.
Higuain/Benz will reach a boiling point at some point too as the "glamor" games are played.
Coentrao will also come into play next year if he's on the bench. Same with Varane.
Goes with the territory i guess.
I agree tbh, and atm it's a race between Benzema and Higuain, and I think the one who improves the most will in the end start. I'm actually OK with that, even though I'd prefer to keep them both.
Although Coentrao, I don't really give a fk if he goes. Losing Marcelo is a billion times worse. One has potential to become WC while one has the potential to become a football great...
Varane should have chose Man U, they are generally better at devoloping players..
No way Varane should have chosen Man Utd.
