In all seriousness though I would love for Cris to rise above the regular abuse he gets from away fans so a part of me is genuinely disappointed, however something like this isn't really a big deal IMO.

Hell the guys in the stands have a story to tell now, so it's kind of fun in a way to exchange smack talk with a superstar.

And as far as I know, cristiano ronaldo isn't the only player to get insulted. Alves gets insulted wherever he goes, and alot of times he gets racist shouts at him. Heck, when sergio ramos made a awful challange on messi at the bernabeu, the madrid fan celebrated the assault like as if it was a goal.

As I said, cristiano ronaldo aint the only one to get insulted, but he is the player that loses his nerve the most of the players who gets insulted..

Try having the fans sing "Cristiano Die" or " Portuguese Son of a b*tch" every game and see how long you go before you say something.

He gets loads of abuse and while it would be a big plus for him if he could rise above that and ignore it he is under no obligation to sit there and take it.

So again a bit disappointing but really the fans on the receiving end have a story to tell now, it really isn't that big of a deal.

Not a big deal. Or at least im not surprised, this is his on field personality.

It would be better if he could not react to things like this, like other players do, but he is different.

He probably is the most hated guy in every stadium he plays in other then his homes, but he has brought it on himself and he doesnt seem to really care anyway.
