Isn't the premise of the game that it lays waste to you

I am not playing it until I get a bunch of free time together back home, so that I can play it on HD.

I still have to finish Demon Souls (the prequel if no one knows), and have so much shit to do with school.. Gunna end up playing this and Skyrim once i get the time.

I bought it when it came out at the end of 2011, kept dying at the start, dropped it for other games..finally came back to this at the start of January

So hyped for the sequel.

almost broke my PS3 because of this game

Mastered this game... love it. Finished it while staying at level 4 just for fun lol (i can tell you how if interested; it's fun but difficult). Makes me unbeatable when i invade or people invade me.

Im on NG+ on my only character, got down 4kings after struggling the hardest i have on any boss, however it was easy once I realized I should have been using my R1/RB swing instead. Im in the darkwraith covenant now for pvp, and i just picked up the DLC.

love this amazing game though, top 3 game of all time for me, one of my top 5 favorites, although its probably higher due to nostalgia clouding my judgment.

PS3 DARK SOULS 2 beta is rolling out all this month at various dates. Hopefully I get a place. You get to play a limited amount of time.

Apparently it's going to be a sequel rather than a prequel.

Always heard about Ornstein and Smough being the hardest boss in entire DS universe. Can't wait to smash that ffs.

nah no chance, they were for me because it was my first souls game, took 5 days or so to beat, had to track back through the game and upgrade my weapon etc

it's just that Dark Souls was the first Souls game for a large % of players and O&S is a huge difficulty spike

you will smash them easily, there are a lot of memorable fights in the game though, interested to see how they play with the DS3 engine and if there's anything new

I kinda hope they keep the slow style. DS3 was a bit like swimming when rolling. I preferred how it was in DS2 which was slower and more realistic. I assume it was same in DS1

remaster looks a bit underwhelming visually tbh, I doubt I'll bother considering I've beaten the game like 10+ times and PVP's for insane amount of hours. I may though if the PVP community is gonna be strong for a while, because it's by far my fav game to PVP in.

Imagine the reaction to Anor Londo in DS3 though if you had played Dark Souls. One of the most iconic areas in the series.

Not sure about that. DS2 was much harder than DS3 and i played that 3rd in the soulsborne series.

And yea, i can see why fans were hyped about anor londo in DS3. Those knights and the setting.

And eh, you're talking about the DLC for 2 surely? the vanilla game was piss easy IMO, DLC from what I played, sure. But that's generally a trend in the games.

I remember I played Demons Souls after putting 100+ hours into Dark Souls and ppl said that was harder too..mostly because it was the first Souls game. I died less than 5 times in the entire playthrough.

Only faced 2 bosses so far. Asylum warden and Taurus demon. Just met Andre the blacksmith. I think he is at the same place where we see his body in DS3?

I know exactly what you mean too btw, I remember when I was a noob and I got killed by those rats a few times too, heartbreaking at the time since its at the start and you dont feel confident ffs, I may have debated quitting then lol

his body? I know there was a Blacksmith named Andre who looked just like him in DS3, I don't remember seeing him dead in DS3 though

oh shit yea. That was a different blacksmith. He was a giant (that body in anor londo)
