It has everything to do with playing though.

Look at Cassano earlier in his career, amazing player but no one wanted to play with him, couldn't make the Italy squad, had to go to Sampdoria to revive his career.

Who would you want in the dressing room, Tevez and his ego or Quagliarella?
Who would you rather play alongside of, a person you respect or a player who thinks he runs the show?

It matters to me, I know it matters to teammates and managers.
