I don't see it happening personally. The only reason (imo) Marcelo isn't playing or is playing poorly when he is, is due to Solari.

He played well under Zidane, and well under Lopetegui.

What is 100% clear is that Solari will not be manager next season, and might not even see out the rest of the season. The manager who will inevitably take over would be stupid to eschew a weapon like Marcelo and Perez would be stupid to not let the next manager have the pick of the current litter before chopping and changing.

Also Juventus have Alex Sandro who is fine. So as much as this has been thrown around I just don't see it because it is not logical.

In terms of guiding out of form players into playing better, Solari has done an awful job.

but it's not his fault. he is no manager. what Zidane did made us think anybody we hire from our retired players could do the job but it is not true.

Marcelo was starting to become just as bad with Zidane. You can argue that Zidane tactically was doing a better job at protecting him, while Solari's approach was more about making each player accountable for their own role and duties. Just a different understanding of football which if I may say come from what kind of players they both were: Zidane was a genius player like Marcelo who had been protected in his career by specific players like Makelele, while Solari was a very average footballer who had to be self reliant and work hard for everything...

I will remind you how Zidane tried to integrate Theo early on last season, Theo was just not good enough. Also, the Bayern game comes to mind with Kimmich destroying our right side, specially on that goal when Marcelo was jogging back.
