Carroll played well but he was starved for service as England's midfield played very poorly. Only in the last 15 minutes when young players - Henderson, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain - were brought in did England's game improve.

Gerrard was meh, he and Parker together in the middle were just too immobile.

Downing did OK, not much to say about him.

Henderson was good, his running power and willingness was exactly what England's midfield needed.

Agger wins a penalty vs. Australia and then like the BAWS he is, he steps up and converts it like a true captain.

Well, with Cahill's very unfortunate and undeserved injury, Kelly has been called up in England's Euro squad.

How in the world has Kelly gotten the call-up over Micah Richards? I understand that Rio is being overlooked due to his issues with Terry but his statement was unnecessarily harsh on Kelly, who had little influence in the matter other than that he is apparently rated by Roy.

he got in as a back up for RB. . Phil Jones was considered for that but now Jones filling for Cahill & thus Kelly for Jones. . . .

It probably should have been Richards, but it's not like he's miles ahead of Kelly.

Having the most amount of players on the England NT isn't that good to be honest. If they fail miserably, our players will get scrutinized by the media the most.
