Stay away from Alex.
If we sell him we'll actually have to buy another defender.

Bayern Munich target Chelsea's Alex as Jerome Boateng alternative - report
A day after Manchester City defender Jerome Boateng confirmed that he had agreed to a four-year deal with Bayern Munich, reports from Germany have emerged that the Bavarians are interested in Chelsea's Alex as an alternative in the event that the former Hamburg man's price tag is not lowered.
Bayern have made it clear that Boateng is their first-choice signing in central defence for the 2011-12 campaign, but with City allegedly demanding €20 million in exchange for the 22-year old, the Germans are said to be considering other options.
According to Bild, in the event that City do not drop their valuation of the stopper, Bayern will turn their attentions to Alex. The 28-year old is alleged to have already been in contact with the Bavarians.
Alex joined Chelsea in the summer of 2004 for €11.5m, and spent three years on loan at PSV. The 17-times capped Brazil international is currently under contract until 2013, but with John Terry, David Luiz and Branislav Ivanovic ahead of him in the pecking order, he may be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

That is utter BS, He is a fraking Starter!
Our best defence at present is him and JT at CB with Ivanovic at RB.
IMO you'll be looking at the same price for him as you are for Boateng. (15-20m)
