Quite understandable that he doesn't want to stay there, West Ham's midfield is so bad that it can't be fun for a striker to be playing there. If they lose Diame in the summer they become instant relegation candidates in my eyes. But there will be Premier League takers for Carroll, absolutely, but they probably won't be willing to pay that £17m figure that's been mentioned in relation to the Hammers.

What about the reports I had read that carroll= some money + hatem ben arfa. I dont know if the name is correct.

Would do that in a heartbeat. Ben Arfa is quality and money on top of that is even sweeter. Don't see it happening, mind.

If we can get money and HBA for Carroll that would be incredible.

We need him to start tomorrow. Carra will get destroyed with the amount of pace Spurs have. Unless we park the bus and play super deep, which I don't see happening at home.

Fact is very few team (who might need him) is able (or willing) to pay a decent price for him. I would be glad if we get even £10 million.

The worst possible scenario would be if we can't find a permanent club for him so we loan him out again. That would be absolutely insane. I just rather have him on the squad.

Agreed. If he has no place in the squad, he needs to go on a permanent move in the summer.

To be honest, I can't blame West Ham for not wanting to pay the rumored 17 mil for him. He hasn't looked anywhere near that valuation this season. Granted, it's mainly down to injuries that he hasn't played much or very well. However, you can't blame a club for not wanting to pay that amount for a player who's scored 3 in 17 appearances. I would be quite pleased with a 12 mil recovery. We simply have to put the original price tag behind us at this point.

He's not that bad of a player if in the right system and he's "PL proven". He'll sell for around 15m to a team like Stoke. They spent 12m for a 31 year old Crouch...

Seems odd to me. He's definitely a level above Kenwayne Jones.

Take everything as a pinch of salt until around June. Even then, take most rumours as a joke lol.

For all we know West Ham are just trying to re-negotiate the 19m clause that's set on the contract.

If West Ham blow their transfer kit on Carroll, it could mean trouble for them next season, because they need midfield players and perhaps defenders, too, before they need a striker.

Nolan is overrated.
Noble is awful.
Jarvis has been a flop.
Diame is the only good CM they've got and they might lose him.
Joe Cole has been their best midfielder since he joined them, if you ask me.

They've got C. Cole, Maiga and Vaz Te at least for strikers which isn't good but is OK and they much more desperately need some quality in midfield than an expensive striker. Although it was already baffling why Allardyce brought in in January Chamack and this Paulista guy, who is also a striker, and no reinforcements in midfield. If he insanely thinks that his midfield is fine and just wants Carroll as their main striker, then we've got hope they'll buy Andy for decent money, but if Sam actually realizes that they're midfield is shite and defence not much better, then he'll be buying for those areas before spending it all on Carroll.

And yeah, if Stoke have got money, they might put in an offer. Although they might not fancy having both Carroll and Crouch and Andy might not want to go there to begin with.

Unless they were to sell Crouch, I don't think he's really in their price range. Crouch cost them 10 rising to 12, I believe. Carroll's price tag would start around there. It would be a serious statement of intent to move up the league if they were to invest in a 24 year-old, England striker.

While I think the relationship would be mutually beneficial, it would take several notable "outs" before they could consider going for Carroll at anything above an absolute fire-sale price.

Btw Suarez can only get 1 more yellow card in the next 4 matches, any more and he'll get a suspension (for 2 games since he already got suspended earlier in the season).

The cuttoff for 10 yellows is April 14th, so after that he'll be able to get booked more. Just the next 4 games.

Yeah, it'd be a bummer if he got suspended. I'm sure he's been made aware of the situation, but his temperament could still get him in trouble. Like, against Tottenham he did have a couple of needless tussles with Brave Scotty Parker and umm... who was the other Tottenham player? Dembele or Walker I think.

I am sure he will manage it and wont get suspended; but now i m looking forward to aston villa game, but this time it will not be easy for them to handle sturridge, cou and suarez together !!

I'm scared of Reading man. They always seem to either equalise or win in injury team at home.

I was too, but that was before they sacked McDermott. Awful decision that.

I'm not expecting those Southampton and Aston Villa away ties to be easy, either. It's a difficult time of the season, these last two months, to be playing those teams who are fighting for their survival, especially at their own grounds. They'll be throwing the kitchen sink at us.
