first half esp. 20-30 mins tottenham was piss poor, esp. defense, danny rose, winks, alderweireld ... olympiacos was so rapid and quick scored in succession.

think dier sub was justified, i saw this game as if tottenham only defense was to go all attacking... with eriksen in, the game changed massively because the tottenham attack was really flexible

second half clearly tottenham was very dangerous going forward, creating chances, decisive...

first half only Son looked like the dangerous one, second half pretty much de alli was running the show. harry kane being killer as usual... and my god, serge aurier looks like a total different player under mourinho

2 games under mourinho and aurier has been tremendous ; seriously though tottenham need atleast 2 first team player with good defensive qualities ... feels like rose, alderweireld, sanchez, winks, dier, are not going to keep them safe

Ndombele / sissoko in midfield is a better assurance than dier / winks

dunno if dier had physical problems but seriously tottenham was so poor defensively in first 20-30 mins, nothing much going on attack, it was all olmpiacos firing up cylinders... was pretty justified with eriksen coming up tottenham was much better going forward creating chances themselves hence forcing olympiacos to drop back

Dier and Winks have never proven that they’re good enough. I don’t believe that’s suddenly going to change. I think this Tottenham team has a lot of potential, but they need to sort out their defense and midfield. With Mourinho in charge, I’d be surprised if they don’t.

agreed totally... at most winks would / should be a sub to Ndombele / sissoko, dier seriously has lost his game ; to his defense he had some health issues keeping out for too long

but yea i agree that would be very un-mourinho like if they keep playing too attacking normally he likes sorting, strengthening team from the back

though how long is mourinho going to be constructive with tottenham board lol he is not that type guy comes and rules like iron fist and walks away if things doesnt go his way...

anyway i would be very surprised with this defense they manage to hold bayern or even come out with a win ... again tottenham surely can cause problem when going forward which they showed also against bayern though their defense is seriously toothless...

Winks served a necessary purpose without a quality CM, but now that Ndombele is in the picture I don't see why he should start

That said Sissoko was atrocious once again so he might as well take his place, won't be any worse

i guess all of us agree that tottenham sucks at the back and has no additional layer of defense in the midfield when needed lol

their best defense is attack at this point ... thats it

the attack has sucked too recently. Eriksen seems like he doesn't want to be there. Lo Celso was doing well but Mou doesn't seem to think highly of him

though under mourinho they have been playing really well in attack i mean... we could say that this game eriksen had some hand but delle alli too and lucas is playing well under mourinho... aurier is another...
lo celso is i guess a player that came very much under poch request so its understandable mourinho doesnt see something in him.... yet

eriksen is though as good as gone, i think he has already made his mind to play for other teams unleSSS... they tottenham win something big...
i guess tottenham too are aware...

before mourinho came i can see only son as being the player being the most dangerous and kane to some extent.. now seems alli lucas is all fired up... but again this is early days...

I have said this many times, Dier is championship level.

He should be nowhere near the Tottenham squad. Nowhere near it.

I'm not exaggerating. He's regressed that badly. He is a really, really terrible player.

His performance level is quite.... Dier.
