Watford are all over Arsenal right now.

Midfield is nonexistent for Arsenal defensively

Arsenal being up 1-0 now is a testament to how bad Watford is rn lol

With how both teams have played, a team with a little better quality hasn't conceded that goal and has scored on one of their attacks

Arsenal score. School boy stuff from Watford. Play to the whistle and stop ball watching.

Ceballos does some really, really stupid stuff near the edge of his own box. He needs to cut that out

Liverpool almost made him pay for it, Watford hasn't done here

I've watched almost all of Arsenal's games so far and Pepe looks like he has the ability...and it's only been 5 games, but I haven't been impressed with him at all so far.

Good ability on the ball, pacey, I've said before and I'll maintain it that I think he will come good eventually, but he's struggling atm. I haven't seen him be very effective at all in any of these games.

Anyway, one of the worst halves of football I've seen this year tbh, rivaled perhaps only by Man U vs Chelsea 1st half. Watford are dreadful, Arsenal are barely better but have enough quality for one or two decent moments and that's all they needed.

Unless Watford get one back, it's gonna be a poor second half too

The good news for Arsenal is that Pepe's output can only get massively better

and probably will, as he looks like a great, idiosyncratically spectacular dribbler

Called Pepe out before the season started, I have seen him live in France. He is weird AF. Dribbling is probably the best in the league but everything else is so bad that its massively frustrating. Not to mention 50% of his goals come from Penalties which is again weird coz he seems shit at passing or shooting since he has bad composure.

I only watched a couple of matches from him last season, but he has a ton of potential, from what I can tell. Yes, his composure is definitely poor, but if he can improve on that, I think he can become a top, top player. As for ligue 1 dribblers, I believe Newcastle's Allan Saint Maximin was quite dominant in that regard last season.

Define flop at this cost?

Would 10 goals 10 assists be enough? I think he should reach this target.

You've been whining about the transfer of Daniel James since before you even saw him perform, though hmm

Pepe is transitioning from a team which was playing very differently from Arsenal and was doing everything to set him up in attack to a team where he has to fit in. You will eat crows when after a couple of months he has adapted and looks great. Bernardo Silva took a full season to get used to PL football lol, no one cares about that now
