Everton signing Iwobi is a classic example of signing someone just for the sake of signing someone. He's not better than the wingers they already have.

Eriksen is one of their best players but they can still comfortably get top 4 without him.

I never thought selling Pogba was contingent on signing a replacement, if thats the logic on which you operate then I can understand why you think like that.

I believe the asking price United gave Madrid is very high, but if that's met they would sell. To me it's always been about the price and nothing else

Nick is half right. One of the main reasons Madrid failed to sign Pogba is because they couldn't meet United's asking price.

He's overlooking the other half though. United's midfield lacks depth and quality. Selling Pogba now is basically Ed asking for his head to be chopped off.

Also, let me remind you that Z specifically asked for all his targets to be brought before the preseason games even start, which means Madrid must have already given United their best offer for Pogba in order to convince them to let go of him in time for their coach. If they haven't been able to convince them until now it means they never will.
