2080TI would be about 150% faster at 4k, but I don't feel like forking 1k for a GPU. 2080 is about twice as fast, and cheapest are close to 600€ so the difference to 1070 wouldn't be so bad. 5700XT would be the best upgrade currently I think, as it's so cheap. But 7nm Ampere should arrive in 2020, so I don't know.

I don’t own a Switch, but I would guess Super Mario Odyssey is one of the «must haves».

We use the same quotation marks as everyone else, but my phone automatically converts them into that one, for some reason. It was a bit frustrating at first, but I’ve gotten used to it

In other words, they look like (") on my phone keyboard, yet translate to « when I type it in.

That’s odd. I’ve never written or intentionally typed it like that. I’ve seen it in certain, more formal pieces of writing, though.

Yeah, it says (used in print). That may be true. The majority of people wouldn’t write it that way unless they’re journalists, or work with litterature.

Watched like 30 minutes of Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario Galaxy 2 videos on youtube.

I really underestimate how a large proportion of the world love these kind of games.

I will personally never understand the appeal for them as they aren't for me but it's incredible how well loved they are.

They control so well, gameplay is always really smooth.

I thought the same about Persona before I played it tbh. Then I ended up loving it, despite it not being appealing my previous tastes what so ever

Well, in recent years, I can’t help but notice that you’ve said that the vast majority of games mentioned on here that don’t follow the DS formula look shit, even if you’ve only watched some early gameplay trailer

Hmm my taste has gotten more and more specific over the years i guess.

But the Mario comment was in general regardless of time. I will never understand the appeal. But i suppose many would say the same for DS games.

Been a long type since I bought so many games. 6 games on black friday and I was already playing pokemon.

About halfway through Witcher 1, really cool game. Already went past the point where I originally got to before my old PC died back in the day. Forgot how much a mod of Neverwinter Nights 2 it feels like. Really enjoy the moral choices and the gray areas. The end of chapter 1 particularly was excellent, that was the point when I 'got' the game in the sense there arent 100% good answers to the questions it asks. Not a fan of most WRPGs (like elders scrolls) because of lack of quality in storytelling, but Witcher is different.

Too buggy though. Typical of these kids of WRPGs that all feel like someone used the world builder of another game to make their own mod.

Also playing through Bioshock 1 (the other game I had when my PC died and didnt finish 10 years ago). Fucking amazing. Incredible that it still looks so good even if it's a remaster for ps4. Still love the atmosphere and the art style. Unique, great, nothing else to say.
