Will definitely get DMC 5, Resident Evil 2 and Sekiro. Hitman 2 after the complete edition is released with a significant price drop. Other than that I'm sure Death Stranding and TLOU 2 are both 2019. Also there will be inevitably new announcements on E3. Hoping for Splinter Cell and Titanfall 3.

None of them are big though and GDC is more for developers than consumers.

Not a chance in hell (TLOU and DS are not coming out next year )

TLOU maybe late 2019 but DS is definitely 2020 i think. I doubt Kojima will want to release anything other than a finished game after what happened with MGS5.

But i hope it's 2019 lol.


I really wonder what they will show in E3? Maybe PS5? Because in terms of games surely they won't launch any AAA exclusives anymore.

If we are talking about 2019 as a whole, I struggle to see how it is not stacked.

AAA games, multiplayer, remakes, story based games, shooters, new IPs, sequels, expansions, it has pretty much everything. Also these are just confirmed games so far.
No way in hell are Sony releasing just one exclusive the whole year, we could realistically see all four (Death Stranding, Ghost, TLOU 2). And obviously more games will be announced. Ubisoft usually announces their falls game on E3, they confirmed no AC next year so we could be getting one or both of Splinter Cell and Watch Dogs 3. Titanfall 3 is heavily rumored to release next year too.

I think they are going to show a bunch of PS5 games without actually mentioning the PS5 lol.

Like they did last generation with Watch Dogs.

M99 either I'm severely underestimating Respawn's size or i don't think Titanfall 3 is happening any time soon.

Mainly because their Star Wars game is supposedly 2019.

There's a lot of potentially great games there, but is there any Red Dead or God of War level mega hype games there? Probably not.

Death Stranding is pretty much done. It's in the polishing stage now. Kojima said development was 100 times smoother than MGS 5 and he was ahead of schedule rather than behind. He also hinted multiple times at a 2019 release date ("it will definitely be released before the time Akira is set in).

TLOU 2 is most likely 2020 but back in March it was said to be in playtest phase so realistically its really not that far off.

ya if these comments about Death Stranding are real (and I'm always taking them with a grain of salt when it comes to gaming) then I am expecting late 2019

That doesn't mean much tbh, God of War was considered done 18 months before released. Cyberpunk is considered playable from start to finish and i bet that's not before 2020.

I am not sure why Days Gone has been pushed back so much.

Control is the game made by the Max Payne and Alan Wake devs.

I'm mainly hyped about it because they said it has Metroidvania level design and i love that type of level design.

Part of why i loved God of War so much was how the levels was designed.

well the latest push back was to avoid the cramped month of Feb, makes sense, I don't think Sony are super confident in it, but I actually like what I've seen so far. Not expecting it to be a masterpiece, but a decent game.

Insiders said they hit all development milestones and were on schedule, they delayed it in fear of Red Dead lol. Probably got pushed back to April because thats a more lucrative time to release than February.

Also I'm obviously not going to get everything I listed (for example I don't own and don't plan to buy an Xbox One so Halo/Gears is out of the question), just listed them to point out how it is a stacked year for almost every type of gamer. I do wish the Doom and Wolfenstein series got more love on GL, they are excellent single player shooters. As good as Metro.

Also worth noting that season 2 of Life Is Strange will be complete in 2019. Speaking of which I finished Before The Storm before starting Red Dead. It was pretty good, Chloe is a excellent character and BTS reinforced that she is the best character of the series for me.

Previous release date was arriving same day as Metro, Anthem and Crackdown lol.

4 games on same day was insane and somebody had to move, they even admitted they delayed it because the day was too crowded lol.

I actually bought Doom a year ago but gifted it to someone lol. I'll get it again considering it's only £10 at most places.

I don't think i more hope a game is good than Anthem, the idea of a Destiny but with a much bigger focus on PVE sounds good to me.

Unfortunately so far it looks like it will disappoint even if i want it to be good.

Can't believe Naughty Dog have only released one game so far in the current gen. Last gen they did the 3 Uncharted titles plus Last of Us. What is going on FFS!

think it'll become the norm more and more for studios like them and rockstar
