Yeah, introduced day before AMD introduced Rome. And it has hyper-threading disabled because it sucks too much power. So with two socket server motherboards, max. thread count is now Intel 96, AMD 256. Also Amazon said they're going to use AMD servers from now on, and stock soared again.

I already bought both. They were cheap, and I wanted to see for myself what all the fuzz was about. I can see why people liked these games 20 years ago, and I can also clearly see how they were ahead of their time in certain aspects of immersion and innovation, but I didn't have the patience to play through any of them, and they are both SUPER dated at this point in time.

I've never had any strong opinions about Bethesda, but Doom, Wolfenstein and Prey are all great games that they've released outside of the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series in recent time, and they've been around since the 90s at least. They're clearly doing something right.

I had very low expectations towards Fallout 76. After watching their announcement and trailers for the game, something just told me it was going to be a half-assed, cash grab.

No one wants a shitty online fallout. That's everything fallout isn't.

Fallout 76 is so DOA I can't even begin to tell you. Bethesda might also become prime example of modern game industry, how "games" from purest sense of "gaming", have been streamlined to nothing but money making machines. You can see this perfectly, from Arena to Skyrim, and now to these weak online shites. 76 at most should've been a DLC to 4. Starfield might save them from this though and I think they are using most time on developing that, as there's no way in hell any developing was gone on 76. Luckily TES2-5 and FO3-4 will never die as modding is keeping those games fresh as long as is needed.

Meant their RPGs, Prey, Doom and Wolfenstein are good games.

Oh and their RPGs rank among the all time greats too.

I don't know why people are so up in arms about 76. It's not like Bioware who killed Mass Effect to make way for Anthem which also looks utter shit. Starfield and Elder Scrolls VI has been announced, its not like they abandoned single player like EA. And also Wolfenstein Youngblood (Wolfenstein 3 also confirmed) and Doom Eternal are coming out soon, and they supported Prey with sizable DLC despite poor sales (once again looking at you Bioware).

Bioware didn't kill Mass Effect, EA did. Giving that IP to some side firm like Bioware Montreal.

Even under all that, i still personally think Andromeda is a decent game, despite the usual quips about the game.

I'm not excited for Anthem, i'll probably get it to see it out, but i know what i'm getting into, all these companies are trying to shove in WoW like traits like rarity in loot and virtual currency to add in microtransactions. 3rd person Destiny is an apt comparison, minus the gargantuan delusion the devs have ('Destiny is going to last 10 years')

The FPS aren't even by them, 2 of them are ID, an arguably more reliable name and I feel Arkane deserves their own mention; I can't believe Bethesda is actually being credited with them. As for Fallout: New Vegas... also not by them.

Fallout 76 is them essentially trying to get ahead of Skyrim Together and failing to put in basic multiplayer checks and security xD

I kind of get why they'd say that, considering mobile games are a tried and tested cash cow that require less resources than console games, provides a vast, unexplored market of players, and they want to ensure future consumers that they have their best people putting quality stamps on these games. Then again, I think it's obvious that this wouldn't go down well with the majority of the hardcore, long-time fans.

My mate and I were just looking at the upcoming games.

There are like 1-2 that are potentially day 1. Rest are not appealing at all. At best day 30. Quite a poor lineup tbh.

Same thing every year tbh, we don't really know about the year till E3 happens, for example I'm convinced Ghost of Tsushima is 2019 but that hasn't been confirmed yet.

Saying that I'm probably getting Days Gone, Control and Metro with Anthem, Devil May Cry and Sekiro as maybes.

i havent looked in a while but I thought early next year was absolutely stacked

im cutting down a lot on what i choose to play nowadays but even I;ll likely be getting 4-5 games in a 2 month span if they havent been pushed back

Depends on your tastes really, there's a lot of high quality games but probably not a lot of games which appeal to everyone.

Yea as mole said it depends on your definition of stacked.

There are games like Battlefield V, Hitman 2, Just cause 4, Sekiro, Resident evil 2, Kingdom hearts 3, Anthem, Metro, Devil may cry coming out alongside the big 3 hype ones of Sony exclusives.

But will you really get any of those? I'll get Metro personally (potentially day 5-10) and Sekiro is one of my day 1s in the near future. Apart from that it's only if it's peer pressure.

Only ones there i definitely won't is Just Cause, Battlefield and Resi.

The rest are day 1s or maybes.

BTW Microsoft are having a press conference in a minute.

Don't expect much but maybe we get new trailers for some third party stuff like Metro or something.
