i praised Ndombele on the first goal but also have to fault him on the Marseille goal. First touch of a bear, lose the ball in front of the box which leads to Marseille's goal

Reason why I said it was (kinda) Depay's fault even though it was clearly Ndombele's fault because I am extremely bias. Also, Depay really should have made it 2-0, inexcusable finish.

Also, Lyon is playing better than Marseille.

My bad it's not Ndombele who lost the ball, it's Cheikh.

It's cool, I barely recognise anyone unless I literally know them. Thauvin and Fekir are the only two I can pin point easily. Everyone else, been mixing up names like a champ.

Let's be honest, no other match mattered this weekend other than this. I actually was looking forward to it which has NEVER happened in all my years of watching football. Didn't give a shit about PSG winning again (after that dud v Liverpool), it was all about this match. Choc des Olympiques, love the name and all.

As far as reviews go, this was more one sided than I really thought. Lyon outplayed Marseille, big time. Payet was barely in the match but somehow still managed 2 assists, Thauvin couldn't do much either and quite frankly, got really fortunate with the equaliser. Strootman and Sanson played awful, Mitrogolou was dog poo and even without that dope Rami, Gustavo and Caleta-Car were more than happily to fill in the dope role. Really a shitty day for any Marseille fan.

Lyon, well, after beating Man City, it's like they realised that they can kick a ball really well. Fekir did the things Thauvin was supposed to do. Traore was a menace all night with one foot. Depay sucked, don't care but the real MvP was Ndombele. Really loving this midfielder, screams EPL in a huge way. Mendy was pretty average but his left sided partner in crime Auoar did well to support him.

I have no doubt that Lyon would have eventually gotten the goals but the 2nd goal should have been ruled out for a foul on Thauvin. Other than that, no Marseille fan should talk about robbery really. This was a straight up beating, proper win for Lyon. And a match that deserved more coverage than it probably did.

9/10. A much better match than that shit WHU and Chelsea put out.
