Resumed the Ligue 1 watch and I regret it already. Monaco down to 10 men since minute 6, went down 2-0 before the 20th and I'm seeing PSG beat a side 9-0 in a supposed top 6 European league.

Sigh.

3-1 Strasbourg. This league is poo (not really but yes). 4-1 now, two golasos. This league is not poo (it never was).

I don't know if Monaco "ultras" (fans really) have the same level of craziness and stupidity as, let's say, Roma and Lazio does but to see the players talk to the fans, explaining this shit performance is quite something. And everyone is calm and collected.

That side that lost 9-0... beat pSG a week ago in paris no less (2-1) to knock them out of cup.  Guinguamp is last in the league by a mile though.  Worse team out there.

Monaco down to 10 men inside 10 mins...  too long.  I think they get it together though.  A lot of the injured players are due back and they're  buying a lot over the winter.

It was a shit game. But OM only plays shit games. We had 11 v 10 for 40 mins... yet the shots were 9 to f-on 9. Caen actually had more corners than we did.

It if weren't for the ejection, Caen wins this game. Caen is 16th in the Ligue 1... 1 point from relegation.

Now sports is going to say how amazing Marquinhos has been in the DM role but that means jackshit in Ligue 1, it will get exposed against any half decent team (basically anything outside of France). No CB has been good enough in a midfield role in the modern game, no matter how good on the ball he was, not Pique, not Ramos, not Hummels, not Pepe, no one. Even plain out defensive midfielders who aren't majorly technical like Martinez, Mascherano or Real Madrid's Calimero look outdated in the modern game.

You understimate how crap PSG can be. They lost 6(7?)-1 to Barca and were a Di Maria screamer away from going down to EL this season.

Nah people underestimate how poor Man United are now, thanks to Ole's positive run vs terrible PL teams

Lyon owned Man City in both games this year... they are young but really talented. Their issue is that they aren't consistently good. They get up for certain games. The culprits? Depay isn't consistent and has a bad attitude, Moussa Dembele hasn't adapted yet and Fekir as injured for most of the first half of the season.

With Fekir back and playing better + Dembele settling in, they're better.

Not a big fan of Genesio either.

Regarding PSG... No Neymar. No Verratti. They literally have no creativity or ball control in the midfield without those two.
