oh you guys and your insignificant bets. How about this: if Neymar signs for Madrid this summer, I'll run naked for 10 minutes in the street and film it.
That sounds less significant than the signature bet to be honest

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
REAL DENY NEYMAR OFFER
Real Madrid have released a statement this evening denying reports that they have made a bid for Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar.
The Spanish club say they have no plans on making an offer for the Brazilian this summer.
The statement reads: "The relationship between the two clubs is extraordinary so that if at some point Real Madrid were considering signing a PSG player, the first thing the club would do would be to make an official approach."
well thats the end of that then.

So they have publicly denied approaching MBappè and Neymar (twice)
It seems all the tracks are leading to Hazard + a CF(Lewandowski, Kane etc)

Meh Hazard is nice but he isn't a goalscorer. Wish we had CR with Hazard instead. Hazard's crossing would destroy La Liga teams...
But Hazard is still nice.
I also think we're keeping Benz and not replacing him this summer

That's a very political statement from Madrid tbh, more like PSG told them where to stick it.
Don't believe for a second they didn't have any intention to make a offer.

There's nothing political about it. They never went for him and nor did they intend to, and they refuse to let some second-rate newspapers make money off them by shoving fabricated, baseless stories down people's throats.
I applaud them for not letting those snakes ride a false story all summer.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Florentino is going to waste his time chasing Neymar, will miss out on Hazard and then will try to sell us that Bale is the new leader and Asensio is the future. Queue in a late bid for some poverty CF handpicked by Lopetegui.
In 6 months, Bale will be injured, we will be 15 points behind barca, Lopetegui will get the blame and will get sacked. In a year time the socios will call general elections and will kick Perez out for losing CR, Zidane in the same summer and for thinking that Bale can lead our club when he can barely speak Spanish.

I know there's a humorous undertone to your post, but all the signs are pointing exactly to that direction.
Florentino could very well lose his presidency as soon as next year with the way he has been handling the reins lately. He let go of his best player without even thinking about the consequences of such a grave mistake. He hasn't made important signings to strengthen the squad for 3 years now. He's not planning on buying an adequate replacement for Ronaldo and he keeps on selling our great bench players who have made Madrid such a balanced and deep squad.
The next month and half will play a major role in his fate. If he brings world class players and keep the bench strong, he'll survive. If he doesn't, and keeps on flooding the team with unproven, green players who are in no way ready yet for Madrid (Vinicius, Rodrygo, ...) , his head will roll before 2020.

Chelsea are yet to officially make an offer for Higuaín but from Monday, they will most likely point towards Pipita in a concrete manner, with Sarri and Jorginho at the club

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
The Switzerland international has put pen to paper on a ‘long-term’ contract with the Reds following his £13m move from Stoke.
The 26-year-old, who scored 15 goals in 92 appearances for the Potters, will wear the number 23 shirt at Anfield.
number 10 shirt still free. i wonder who will sign and get it. i still think fakir will sign but we will see.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Sky Sport have reported this evening that Roma could “settle” for a final figure of €70 million for Alisson and lowering their initial €80 million asking price.
Reportedly, the Giallorossi would be willing to accept €60 million plus €10 million in bonuses or €65 million plus €5 million in bonuses for the Brazilian shot stopper. In that case, the club would have the cash to buy PSG’s Alphonse Areola.

Every summer for like 5 years elite clubs try to pick off PSG players and get nowhere... yet everyone still somehow believe that they can force PSG's hand.
They don't need the money. They ostracize players who try to play hard ball (Rabiot, Verratti, Motta, etc.). AND they retaliate (Verratti's agent was fired, Barca lost Neymar, etc.).
I honestly don't get what the mystery is.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Exactly. They can outbid you no matter who you are. They can offer your target a salary vastly superior than the one you're offering AND they keep players against their will.
If anybody believes there's a club in this galaxy that can force PSG to sell Neymar now, they really should have their head checked.

That's exactly what I mean, the statement made it seem like they just weren't interested in the player.
More like they know it's a waste of time.

According to Javier Hernandez Bonnet, the Colombian journalist who first broke the story of James to Bayern, Jorge Mendes is currently in Germany trying to negotiate with Bayern bosses to release James from his loan and cancel the buy option.
