Do you think really United are going on him again ?
Anyway Sky said we are not intended to sell him, it would be stupid to make it now imo
He's a super inconsistent 29 year old winger. You should be dancing in the streets if United are wiling to pay big money for him.
Surely you will get great choice to replace him worthily in 3 weeks

Bayern Munich wants to buy the biggest canadian talent Alphonso Davies, from Vancouver Whitecaps, he is legit. It will conclude for around 12 millions. Source: Guerriero

In MLS it's sufficient, i am not responsible of his hypothetical failures in Bundesliga. Let me appreciate the most prestigious transfer in Canada's history.

talent wise, Alphonso is better than anything Canada has ever seen, there's a reason he has been a senior player since the age of 16, and even now hes an ambassador to the game in Canada (see his 2026 world cup bid speech)
very, very excited for him, but also what this means for canadian soccer, as many others will look to follow to europe

He is a senior player since 16 because Canada has 0 talent and he is a Uber developed teenager. You seen his body? Lol. Reminds me of Niang . We will see how that translate at the top level

Di Marzio: Bonucci has expressed his desire to return to Juventus, if he arrives, one of Rugani or Caldara will likely leave. Chelsea are not pressuring for Higuain, unlike AC Milan.
Bon-back?
Looks like Rugani and Higuain to fund Ronaldo and Bonucci, assuming this happens

Please no Matuidi. Can't deal with his level of play anymore.
Bernardeschi and Cuadrado can do so much more.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
My only question mark is will Douglas Costa make enough runs into the box?
With Dybala as the CF it needs both wide players to occupy the box semi regularly, we know Ronaldo will do that but Costa? Not really sure.
Maybe the fullbacks attacking a lot can offset that somewhat.

If we play with that front 3, those two fullbacks, and Matuidi/Khedira, then attacking the box will be the least of our problems. Defending is the issue.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
As CM you mean Rincon ?
I'd agree i prefer Bernardeschi/Cuadrado as midfielders instead of Khedira. Even Midzukic coluld make a decent box to box. Matuidi is correct substitute at best, Khedira i can't process why he isn't already sold/released.

As everything my man.
Cuadrado's work rate is huge plus everything else he brings. Matuidi offers nothing above Cuadrado. Our usual 4-4-2 looks great with that swap
Cristiano - Dybala
Costa - Khedira/Can - Pjanic - Cuadrado
Sandro - Chiellini - CB - Cancelo
Costa - Khedira/Can - Pjanic - Cuadrado
Sandro - Chiellini - CB - Cancelo
Bernardeschi is more of a midfielder and more of a rearranging of tactics, but still so much better than Matuidi. We should just try him at mezzala.
Cristiano - Dybala - Costa
Can - Pjanic - Bernardeschi
Sandro - Chiellini - CB - Cancelo
Can - Pjanic - Bernardeschi
Sandro - Chiellini - CB - Cancelo
+ whatever Mandzukic will bring to the team.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
I like your line up better to be honest. I just will always prefer a midfield 3 to a midfield 2. In this case, it makes more sense to line up with a pseudo 4-2-3-1/4-4-2 than anything else.
It depends how our midfield looks with Pjanic-Can, we did make a CL final playing Pjanic-Khedira because of our strong defence and potent attack that season

Typical Serie A fan response
Fullbacks are fine, it's 2018 not 1998 The fact Dybala will very rarely occupy the defence in such a set up is a massive issue if others aren't because you'll never be able to build attacks.
It's clearly very important aspect for the team to work, midfield is a problem agreed.

I also prefer 3 midfielders much more. Our team is just not really made for it atm though. Too many great forwards and too many worse midfielders. Besides, Dybala is an extra midfielder, as is Bernardeschi.

Typical response of someone who watches our team
We scored over 110 goals last season. To our team we are adding an attacking fullback, Cristiano Ronaldo, and someone who is hopefully a better midfielder than our other options. There will be no problems attacking, scoring goals, or entertaining defenders. We also have one of the most annoying forwards (to defenders) around in Mandzukic.
The issue will be balance. We already had this issue last season because Alex Sandro was terrible at the back and Khedira disappeared for most of the season.

You're right there. Even Douglas Costa, who surprisingly to me, had incredible defensive work rate. That game away to Napoli was a masterclass, also away to Madrid etc. he's so far from the luxury player I expected to see.
I have no doubt that Allegri will get a great defensive display from this team regardless, and Cancelo may even surprise us. He can't be worse than Alex Sandro defensively, who we've hidden among our team for a few seasons now. Lichtsteiner/Dani Alves were also not a source of strength on our right side for the past 2-3 seasons- Dani Alves being the worst of the lot.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Nah I just know how football works.
If your CF is someone who drops deep then you need your wide players to make runs into the box.
It's just common sense, this can be helped if your fullbacks overlap but it's still important. If none of this happens then you struggle to build attacks.
No point even mentioning last season as the dynamic of the team has changed.

How are Ronaldo and Costa not players who constantly are in the box? not to mention Sandro and Cancelo.

I said in my post I have no concerns about the fullbacks and Ronaldo.
It's Costa I have the concern about, from when I watched him at Bayern and for Brazil he's more of a winger which is fine and helpful in some ways but with that set up he'll need to make runs off the ball for the team to function at it's best.
