Personally, I don't think experiencing anything for 10 minutes qualifies as actually having experienced it enough to deem whether it was good or poor. I'm sure Firenze disagrees Requiem for a Dream is a pretty peculiar movie, though. It's a pretty disturbing movie that involves drug abuse, hallucinations and whatnot. I honestly don't think you'll enjoy it much. I watched it a long time ago, and the only thing I remember clearly is the
- Spoiler:
- double-sided dildo scene with that hot chick I don't remember the name of
Trainspotting is another cult classic that focuses on similar themes and has a similar atmosphere to it. I personally enjoyed that one more. I assume you've already seen it, though? Road to Perdition is another classic, that I personally think is underrated. I'd recommend watching that one. Also, since you hadn't watched The Green Mile already, I don't think it's rude to ask if you've watched Forrest Gump?

Depends.
Do you rate it high?

I don't mine peculiar films. I mean Donnie Darko is one of my fav films. It's just that the direction in this one looks terrible and the use of music is putting me off.
Not seen trainspotting
Seen forrest gump but not a fan.

Not a huge fan.
Trainspotting is incredible though.
I don't allow any Forrest Gump slander in here though. GOAT-level film imo. Prime Robin Wright can do no wrong.

Re-watched Watchmen for the first time in a long long while. Struggling to understand why I didn't like it the first time. I think it was because it was a pirated copy or something.
In any case. Watching this film explains why DC wanted Snyder to make more comicbook films and let him do 3 more (or 2.5). Because watchmen is one phenomenal film. It really is a work of art. Forgot how amazing the characters were and the film builds all of them up so well. It's brilliantly directed and even the pacing and editing was great.
So many GOAT scenes. I am glad I rewatched it.
8.9/10

Considering the theatrical version was too short and made no sense I don’t understand why he was hired at all. Same problem every film for him really.

I don't think anyone else could have made watchmen as good as him. Maybe Nolan would have but he would have made a mess of Dr Manhattan.

Don't believe I've ever heard of anyone who didn't think Forrest Gump was a great movie. Did you give it Firenze's 10 minutesboringimdone treatment?

A bunch of people could have tbh. Half of the casting was perfect, second half absolutely terrible.
More hyped for the tv series coming soon.

Apocalypse Now (1979)
This film was like reading a book by Albert Camus but not as entertaining. If the director wanted to show how absurd, irrational and bleak the vietnam war was then he did a great job. But maybe he should have made a documentary instead. Either that, or I hate war films.
At least the acting was great and the journey was somewhat interesting. Probably will never watch this again.
6.5/10 purely based on technical quality since it's a 0/10 entertainment.

Please. God damn please...
There was also made a documentary about the film. Watch Heart of Darkness. Crazy interesting story about the whole filming of the movie.
Did you watch it on 420p?

Nah Amazon video. Full HD
Sorry man, really tried to like it but i just couldn't get into it. It felt awfully long. Maybe I watched the director's cut. The best part were probably the last 30 minutes though. Other than that not really my thing I guess.

Yeah, it's a tough watch. Can be rewarding or taxing depending on your mood and tastes. The filmmaking is absolutely GOAT.
Sadly it killed the director totallt, artistically. Went from being the GOAT director to making shit for the rest of his career

Kill Bill Volume 1 (2003)
Tarantino is a genius. Whatever he tried in this film absolutely worked. This is what a Tarantino comic book film would look like. I mean he even had a bit of anime going on in the middle of it. Really enjoyed this. Can't wait to watch volume 2.

That's assuming you have taste tbh, RG clearly only likes Super Hero films and mindless action flicks like Kill Bill.
His adoration for Big Match John is suddenly becoming clear.
