Almost every single one of our seasons recently is plagued directly or indirectly with some sort of controversy.

2016-17: Matip/Cameroon/FIFA debacle. Sakho ostracization.
2015-16: Sakho doping scandal. Manager sacking.
2014-15: Suarez bites opponent for 3rd time.
2013-14: Suarez serving biting suspension. Summer 'let me leave' saga.
2012-13: Suarez bites opponent for 2nd time.
2011-12: Suarez pseudo-racism scandal. Legend sacking.
2010-11: Brink of Administration. Manager sacking. Torres transfer craze. New ownership.
2009-10: Legend Manager sacking.
2008-09: Gerrard bar fight scandal. Rafa rant FA/referees.

I just *bleep* want one season where we are just playing football and not *bleep* having to deal with any other shit affecting our on-pitch play.

The Matip and Sakho saga have directly affected us because of the ineptness of the governing bodies, Which is absolutely unacceptable and downright disgraceful.
