Replaced my crappy expensive samsung tv for the Sony x800d and I couldn't be more happier. Stunning tv, HDR is top notch on it. Ps4 pro runs like a charm on it.

Gonna pull an all nighter playing resident evil 7. Game is creepy so far

Thimmy have you tried Yakuza yet? game is mad cutscene heavy but I'm enjoying it, story is gripping me and the side quests are really fun and goofy which is in contrast to the dark and gritty main quest, good stuff tbh

I haven't. Busy weekend. I'm really looking forward to playing it, though it probably won't happen until monday.

Bought gta trilogy from the ps store, was playing gta 3, completed the first mission when suddenly a trophy popped up. Nearly wept tears of joy haha. Man I've been waiting for years to platinum this and vice city, 2 of my favourite games ever.

actually gonna do what I said I would and put Yakuza on hold for a couple months tbh. Story switched protags just as I was getting into it and the routinely 10-15 min in game cutscenes while reading hundreds of lines of text can take you out of the atmosphere. No chance I finish it before Nioh next week so I'm gonna take a break and return in a couple months. Good game though, just still feeling burnt out from FFXV and TLG and no point playing when it starts feeling like a chore.

Did you try Nioh then?

just think I will like it becuase it's similar to dark souls, seems like it has deeper combat though

I absolutely love For Honor ffs.

Unless i magically suck from nowhere it's going to be the MP game i keep playing in between all the single player stuff for next few months.

You were right, the game is cutscene heavy as fk. I'm liking the story so far, though.

but yeah I will 100% return to it when there's a drought of games it's just I was feeling burnt out and despite the story being good 10 mins of action followed by 20 mins of cutscenes over and over wasn't helping hold my attention

I have no problems with it. I'm generally not that picky when it comes to graphics. I do think the switch from different narrating styles is a bit odd, though. I mean, in one moment you have the fully pre-rendered cutscenes with voice acting and everything, and suddenly there's just a still picture with subtitles, and then it switches to voice acted still picture scenes. I don't see the point, and it ruins the immersion a little bit, for me. I like the game, though. I used to be pretty good at the baseball minigame in previous iterations, but I seem to suck at it in this one. I think the controls and the camera in particular, can be quite annoying at times. You can't adjust the sensitivity setting at all, and when you try to hold the crosshair in place near the borders of the "interactable area" during the baseball minigame, it just starts to shake up and down.. which is simply poor design. Also, I'm definitely not a fan of how the game adds locks you in to a beaten path during certain parts of the game. I want to decide for myself, when I feel like continuing on the main story. Mr. Shakedown kicked my arse badly, the first time I encountered him Is it even possible to win that fight? lol.

Some of these side quests That quest where you're supposed to teach a dominatrix how to act like a dominatrix.. wtf? And the stand-in director one.. "erasable"? There's actual soft-core porn in Yakuza 0. There are just so many silly things in this game. Quit the game in a fit of rage last night, after losing a bunch of cash to the dart player who keeps increasing the bet while insisting that you get increasingly more drunk as the bets get higher

The side quests really are fun and well made. I also enjoy some of the optional mini-games. The countless dialogues can be quite tedious, though. I'm interested in the story, but I feel that some of the dialogues and cut-scenes could've been shorter, without having any significant impact on the narration part of the game. That Mr. Shakedown always seems to appear when I'm carrying a lot of cash. I should just run away from him, but I always end up trying my luck and getting mugged by him I like this game's portrayal of Majima. He's one of the main antagonists in the older Yakuza games. I always viewed him as sort of a cliché bad guy with mental issues. If I'm not mistaken, he was just a crazy sadist in Yakuza 3 or 4. It's pretty interesting to see him so calm and well behaved in Yakuza 0.

I'm trying to buy games from PSN but my current account is from the US. Now I have a european (belgian) card that I'm trying to use, but it won't let add it to the US account.

So I made a belgian account. The problem is, that it forces your PSN account to be in Dutch or French. I don't care about the PS Store since I can read that easily enough. My worry is that if buy a game it might be in Dutch. Is that the case?

Has anyone tried to buy games from EU PSN and played them in English?

Most games will have multiple language supported so i don't think that would be an issue.

I gave it a try with the PS Now free trial and Bioshock is in English. I'll probably end up subscribing to play the 3 bioshocks if I get hooked.

I've yet to play a PS store bought game that isn't multi-language, or one that offers only Norwegian language support  I usually set it to English, anyway. From my experience, only a rare few French, German and Spanish games seem to lock you to one language, or only gives you two or three alternatives excluding English.

I definitely recommend getting the Bioshock trilogy. The first and the third games are very good, in my opinion.

I played Bioshock back when it came out in the PC but I moved and left my PC behind so I never finished.

Loved the story, atmosphere, graphics, style, etc. the only problem is FPS are mostly a big no for me. I just liked everything else enough to push through it, I wanna finish it this time. Hopefully I'll get hooked.

I have a US account and it refuses to add my UK bank card, its just the way that is sadly, its retarded. Even tried adding it link my Paypal but it doesn't accept it since my Paypal is UK. Its one of the most retarded-est things ever, especially in such a globalized world. Sadly, this can only be said for console gaming, its a neanderthal mechanism that doesn't seem like it will be addressed anytime soon. It has been like this since the PS3 days, and it was the same with the Xbox 360

I used to buy all my games or a majority via my US account because they got games early and the exchange rate was very favorable. Make a US Amazon account and buy instant PSN credit through the site with a made up address. You can get the PSN codes sent immediately after checkout, then just add it to your account on PS4.
