Varane with his jackass play per match still going strong though I imagine Navas has some serious blame to share there as well.

What a chaotic half. The front 3 have been abysmal. Please someone try and tell me how Lucas and Morata won't improve this frontline. They are past their use by date. Time to unleash our best attackers

Danilo Laughing even my grandmother would be a better RB than him. All i see him do is wave hus arms in the air and subsequently lose the ball when he gets it which Alaves capitalise on. We defended alot better when Nacho came on but that's probably because of the good partnership between he and Varane. They know each other's moves. So when Varane gets sucked up Nacho stays back preventing any gaps Alaves can exploit

I won't expect HT subs but I expect certain players or should I say player to be taken off soon after the break. His pressing has been pathetic and he has been losing the ball nonstop. When need someone else in there somebody who can actually make himself count

Alaves starting this game as PTB, but they finished it as the better team. Wonder why that is

It was Pepe first getting burned and then Navas wrongly calling it. Otherwise Varane was going to clear it. We are all over the place on the pitch,i really wonder what exactly is Zidane doing on tactical days.

Navas and Varane are not communicating well this half. First the goal then the near corner that Navas failed to shout for Varane to let go. Need that communication lads

Varane-Pepe has never worked properly. Maybe due to the fact that both are better suited for the RCB role.

Can't decide who was worse between Danilo, Benzema and Bale. All of them are performing at Cultural Leonas level

If I'm not mistaken, we have made just a couple of shots on goal in the second half. Dreadful offensive plan, if there's any.

Really the score doesn't reflect the performance. Alavés have been undone by individual talent, defensive frailties, and some controversial refereeing mistakes.

They had many opportunities to come back into the game but didn't take them. Madrid, however, had a very quite game, offensively and were lucky on so many levels.

This game is quite reminiscent of the Rayo game where we all ripped Rafa to shreds even though we had won 10-2.

No offensive plan whatsoever. Quite worrying.

Happy for the three points, completely and utterly disappointed with the performance.

Remember that Alaves beat Barca and Sevilla struggled mightily to barely beat them... it's not an easy team.

The LaReal game was an aberration if you look at how they've done in all the other games.

meh. Morata is good when the game is stretched. don't think he would do much when there is no room. That's why he's great off the bench.

Tactics=Random.

Coaching is nonexistent. Zidane getting paid for selecting first eleven , even that he can't choose properly.

FT 4-1

Our passing under pressure  Look at that 4th goal again, there are about 5 Alaves players pressing our guys, it all starts with calm Nacho who plays it to Kroos, who plays it to Marcelo, then Morata, then Marcelo, the Kroos and bam Kroos gets it to the other side and Danilo has a free path to run the ball all the way up. That kept happening over and over. We deal so well with pressing. For those of you wondering what ZZ has given this team, it is the composure undet pressure. We always pass it out, very rarely we hoof the ball. We were never this good under Carlo

The last 25 minutes we were playing some breathtaking football, and we were doing what we always do....cross yet it looked so exquisite. I thank God every day Bayern were stupid enough to give us Kroos in his prime. Dude is wondeful, you could put 5 guys on him and he will still find a way to get the ball to the other side through them, over them, under them, it doesn't matter he always gets it to them

Nacho  imagine if this guy was a starter and not rotting away on our bench. How very fitting that Lopetegui was there to witness this performance of his. Hopefully ZZ trusts him more by playing him whenever somebody is injured

Danilo, i have no comment on other than to say we are fecking screwed if Carvajal gets a long term injury. He is SO bad

Morata, well I'll let you guys do the talking eco smile

I wouldn't play him over benzema just yet. Karim has been finding form but today wasn't his day.

Kovacic MOTM, great defensive shift from him

I know CR deserves it too but Kovacic had his best defensive game today

Tbh Kroos, Isco and Nacho deserve it just as much. All of them were Motm worthy with Marcelo not too far behind

Kovacic's skill is outrageous and coupled with that insane pace and acceleration he can be quiet a player but not yet imo. He's very inconsistent with his decision making.

I think his decision making has improved ten fold since last season. I mean compare his braindead decision to scissorkick that Valencia player to get his red card or play the ball right to a Las Palmas for their goalto how he is playing right now. Imo he more or less always makes the right choice pass nowadays. Even his throughballs are inch perfect. He has come a long way that's for sure

Another fine match by both Isco and Kovacic. The former's ability has been talked about a lot here but Kovacic is starting to look like someone who can be first team material for us. I really hope we don't waste him as a water carrier, he clearly has more talent than that.

Varane really is being annoying with these 1 asshat play per match because yet again, he plays well for the majority of the game. Is Benzema fully aware that Morata has no intention of being a back up at Madrid and is doing all he can to force his place in the 1st 11? Because his matches are leaving a lot to be desired.

Um, decent hattrick by Ronaldo which should appease his ego a lil. My expectations of him are high so forgive me if I'm not writing any high praise for him. Other than that, good win against a competent La Liga side.

Speaking of which, Alaves players need to improve their first touch. They kept losing the ball in our final third way too often.
