Real Madrid vs Alaves

So after yet another International break, here we are, back to this frustrating side. At home to Alaves and I'm sure it is not gonna be anything whatever we predict. Hala or the other DoC would give team news i.e injuries, suspensions, etc. To those who are unaware, it is this Sunday.

I am happy to confirm we have no injuries apart from the quitter. Casemiro is suspended while Carvajal is one away from suspension. I fully expect him to pick up a yellow tomorrow to wipe the slate clean for our toughest month this season. The line up is set in stone:

Hala, not familiar with your nicknames. I can quess who is the quitter and I think I know who you mean by the crook! But have no idea who was 2nd last. However I did see the headline and chose not to read when it said Nacho was fastest. I knew right then it was not a serious test of speed!

In a race chasing the ball Varane has no equal imo.

I would think Bale would be fastest on team, and yes I agree Varane would be up there re speed. But I have no idea who would be near top nor bottom on a pure speed basis. However, if the headline I read saying Nacho was fastest, then this speed test was likely not a serious event as we have seen him outpaced several times.

That list is based on top speed clocked during a single game this season. Its accurate alright. Bale is no doubt our fastest but he takes time to hit top speed. If there was a race from one goal line to another Bale would outrun everyone

Apparently James, Marcelo, Navas are also be rested this game.

That likely means Nacho at LB and Danilo the only defensive reserve. Kiko in goal.

i hope we don't make this game more "interesting" than it needs to be. at least we don't have injuries, that's always good news

Its good that there are rotations especially with the SA players like Marcelo and Navas who have have been on long haul flights. I hope Carvajal is rested too as he had to play in that friendly against France he didn't need to do. Bale and Benz are fully rested so I expect them to be alot fitter than the rest

Actually alot of our guys were able to skip the last international game; Modric, Bale, Pepe, Ronalo coming off early etc etc. So we can't use fatigue as an excuse if we struggle. Alaves will be without Llorente who is 90% of their midfield so we should be able to control that midfield with relative ease

Nice first half. Benz, Ronaldo and Isco have been very lively. Can't say the same for Bale and Modric who have been anonymous. Kiko strong in the air and quick off his line. Nice

So far, so good. A basic 1-0 lead and Alaves not troubling us at all, guess Hala was correct with no Llorente, no party. Um, Danilo at LB is, well, he is trying but to see him do a foul throw even after the ref gave you a second chance was just...typical.

Have no evidence but it just looked like Benzema is moving way more than Bale who has been a passenger all game. Again.

Kroos 51 passes, Isco 42 and Modric with 23. He needs to step it the hell up in the 2nd half

Isco has been incredible. Hope he doesn't leave.

Also.. Are we sure Danilo isn't really a LB? He's been amazing whenever he's played there.


Also Navas should've played his last game.

Casilla saved 4 chances before they became chances. He's able to sweep unlike Navas who's reluctant to leave the line.

Navas might be a better shot stopper but Casilla can keep those shots from ever happening at all.

Navas used to do that very well last season but seems reluctant to do it this season. I don't know what's wrong

Isco was amazing? Lmao no goal we was poor bad decision making all game long and zero through balls, but as usual amazing dribbling = great

I think the second half left a lot to be desired, but in true Zidane fashion, we still managed to score 2 quick goals towards the end of the game C. Ronaldo made a LOT of technical mistakes.

I agree. Didn't like our second half at all. It wasnt just Ronaldo but Danilo's passes freaked me the hell out because he'd pass to someone who's already marked and can never keep a pass on the ground, the ball always bounces. Bale too was extremely frustrating. It was just too many players with very poor passes

It was a comfortable victory but it certainly wasn't all that pleasing to the eye. Isco was legit throughout the match, we really need to keep him. Benzema was good as well. Dani did Dani things as usual and Bale was quite frustrating to view.

Anyway, good 3 points and on to I think Leganes(?).

Oh benzema was clearly motm and the only player who was actually doing something useful up until he subbed funny watching you lot trying to post around him
