Well, before we all meltdown again, there's a chance this is simply a "hurry up and get on with it" from Valencia to Arsenal. Liverpool are well-stocked at the back, having already signed two centre backs this window. I don't rule out genuine interest of course but it's something to consider/a straw to clutch at.

It really is poker sometimes. You got Arsenal saying they have backup targets and now Valencia have called that bluff by saying they'll sell to Liverpool instead.

Mahrez has signed a contract extension with Leicester because we aren't in for him. Meanwhile we're hearing nothing concrete about rumours besides an unrealistic 40mil link with Jose Gimenez because Wenger's planning a madness:

What we're actually doing is making a bid for Griezmann, and we've published the Gimenez link instead to hide that fact while simultaneously pressuring Valencia to cave on Mustafi or risk not being able to sell him this window (President admitted they're looking to finalize a sale soon if it's going to happen so they can get a CB replacement).

On August 31st we'll sign Griezmann and Mustafi. Arsene you cheeky bastard!

"very soon you will know about the future of Mustafi" and claimed that "'two or more clubs are in negotiations"

with the player, while there is also interest from other unnamed European sides.

That's good news. Read some German report about some lower table Bundesliga side getting ready to submit a £2m bid for him or something and lol'd. Glad to know he still has a future with us. This summer has been huge for him.

Gnabry won't have a career at Arsenal, that's safe to say. At best he'll end p like Campbell. At worst he'll be continuously mistreat more severly with loans to anti-creative torturers like Pulis.

He needs to go to a club of his level, like Hertha.

Hertha have been heavily linked with him but whether they come in with a loan offer or a permanent one seems to depend on his contract situation with us.

Wenger expressed a desire to keep him, and his agent says his extention should be a formality after the Olympics he's had. So we'll see how it works out. At this point it does seem very unlikely he's going to get sufficient opportunities with us, for whatever reason.
